NFL Player News - Week 7

    Courtesy of Footballguys.com

GB - QB Aaron Rodgers will need surgery

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) will need surgery on his broken collarbone and could miss the rest of the season, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The surgery could end Rodgers 2017 season. It's a crushing blow to the Packers, NFL fans and fantasy owners. Downgrade all Packers skill position players while Rodgers is out. Brett Hundley takes over as the team's starter and former practice squad quarterback Joe Callahan will back him up.

MIN - QB Teddy Bridgewater could practice

    Source: MMQB - Albert Breer

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater (knee) could practice Wednesday, Oct. 18, after his follow-up with doctors Monday, Oct. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bridgewater has been cleared to return to practice, and the team is likely to activate him off the PUP list in the next two weeks. Once that is done, they'll have a three-week window to determine whether or not to activate him or put him back on the PUP. It wouldn't be a surprise at this point to see Bridgewater back under center as the Vikings starter later in the year.

JAX - RB Leonard Fournette expected to play

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (foot) is expected to play in Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We should see Fournette limited in practice this week. Keep an eye on him as the week goes on, but we fully expect him to play in Week 7.

NO - RB Shaun Draughn works out for Saints

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Free-agent RB Shaun Draughn (Giants) worked out for the New Orleans Saints Monday, Oct. 16, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Saints have also worked out Khiry Robinson. They could use some more depth at the RB position since trading away Adrian Peterson (Cardinals) last week.

CIN - Cincinnati works out TEs

Source: SiriusXM NFL Radio - Adam Caplan

Free-agent TEs Jace Amaro (Titans), Gavin Escobar (Chiefs), John Phillips (Saints) and TE Larry Donnell (Ravens) worked out for the Cincinnati Bengals Monday, Oct. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
With Tyler Eifert on Injured Reserve, the Bengals are keeping their emergency list updated.

KC - RB C.J. Spiller signed by Chiefs once again

Source: The Kansas City Star - Terez A. Paylor

Free-agent RB C.J. Spiller (Chiefs) was re-signed to an undisclosed deal by the Kansas City Chiefs Monday, Oct. 16, according to sources.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's the most on-again, off-again relationship in the NFL. Kansas City has now signed the veteran running back four times in the past year.

ATL - Atlanta not content with WR Julio Jones' touches

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones will be more involved in the offense if head coach Dan Quinn has his way.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Fantasy owners aren't happy with his lack of involvement either. Quinn said he was not satisfied with how often Jones was seeing the ball, adding that more offensive plays in general will help that cause. Jones has only one 100-yard game this year (Week 2 against the Packers) and has yet to score a touchdown in 2017.

DEN - QB Trevor Siemian not seriously injured

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (shoulder) suffered a minor shoulder sprain in Week 6 but is expected to play in Week 7, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Siemian has a long injury history and he was banged up against the Giants on Sunday night trying to make a tackle on a pick-six. He's the starter for now, but he needs to play better if he wants to hang onto the starting job.

WAS - RB Rob Kelley will take part in practice

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins RB Rob Kelley (ribs) will be able to participate in practice this week, according to head coach Jay Gruden.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kelley missed the game against the 49ers on Sunday and Washington split time in the backfield between Chris Thompson and Samaje Perine. We'll see if he can practice fully later in the week.

BUF - TE Charles Clay week-to-week

    Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay (knee) is considered week-to-week because of his knee injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Clay was thought to miss a month with this knee injury. That would still be at least a couple of weeks away from him getting back onto the field for the Bills. Fantasy owners have already had to make other plans at the position.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders will miss Week 7

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) will be sidelined next week with a sprained ankle, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanders suffered the injury against the Giants on Sunday night. He'll be week-to-week after he misses this upcoming game against the Chargers in Week 7. The Broncos will turn to guys like Bennie Fowler and Jordan Taylor to do more while Sanders is out.

    CLE - Cleveland's Week 7 QB undecided

    Source: ClevelandBrowns.com - Andrew Gribble

Cleveland Browns QBs Kevin Hogan, DeShone Kizer and Cody Kessler will know who will start next week by Wednesday, Oct. 18, according to head coach Hue Jackson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kizer was benched in Week 6 for Hogan...and Hogan looked bad against the Texans on Sunday. This is a situation most all fantasy owners were already avoiding.

PIT - WR Martavis Bryant did not ask for trade?

    Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler

Contradicting a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant told reporters Monday, Oct. 16, he did not request a trade and has only talked with coaches about getting better.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryant is unlikely to be traded. He's frustrated with his role after only getting targeted three times against the Chiefs in Week 6. We'll see if the Steelers do more to get him involved going forward.

BUF - Jordan Mathews still not close to return?

    Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills WR Jordan Matthews (thumb) told reporters he has yet to catch a pass with his right hand since undergoing thumb surgery earlier this month. He noted he has been working with tennis balls instead.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's all part of the process, and most fantasy owners aren't holding their collective breaths waiting for Matthews to return. Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Matthews made a lot of progress during the bye week.

DET - WR Golden Tate expected to miss a few weeks

    Source: NFL.com - Ian Rapoport

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (shoulder) is scheduled to undergo an MRI soon, but the expectation is he will miss 'some time,' according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Tate down, the Lions will turn to Marvin Jones to do more. They'll need rookie Kenny Golladay to get over his hamstring injury and do more. Also, T.J. Jones could be a 'what the heck' flex for fantasy owners while Tate is out.

ARI - RB Adrian Peterson logs 48 snaps in debut

Source: 98.7 Arizona - Mike Jurecki

Arizona Cardinals RB Adrian Peterson played 48-of-65 offensive snaps in Week 6 - his first game with the team since he was acquired from the New Orleans Saints earlier in the week.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He played 45 snaps in four games with the Saints in 2017. He clearly wasn't a good fit for New Orleans, but Peterson looked right at home as the lead ball-carrier for the Cardinals on Sunday. So long as the Cardinals can play with a lead, then Peterson has at least RB2 value for fantasy owners.

TB - QB Jameis Winston has sprained AC joint

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating previous reports, Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston (shoulder) suffered a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Winston was knocked out of the game on Sunday and replaced by Ryan Fitzpatrick. He'll be brought along slowly this week, but Winston isn't yet declared out for Week 7 against the Bills. This is the type of injury he could play through, and we'll know more about Winston's status later in the week.

SF - C.J. Beathard the starter

    Source: 49ers.com
San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard will be the starting quarterback moving forward, head coach Kyle Shanahan said Sunday, Oct. 15.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Brian Hoyer is now the backup behind the rookie. The 49ers aren't going anywhere no matter who lines up under center. Beathard has a good deep arm and throws with touch when going deep downfield. He's a good leader and is more athletic than some think, allowing him to make good plays on bootlegs that abound in the Shanahan system.

It's a shame there weren't any good qbs available to them in last years draft. Oh wait they passed on Watson! Lol. Franchise continues to be a joke as their new "analytic" approach appears to be about as good evaluating talent as their previous strategy of pulling names out a hat.

I didn't think that the Browns actually used a strategy to select their qb's. Pulling names out of a hat would have been a step up or two from whatever they were doing. I think Kessler may be the choice.

    Wednesday Update

DAL - RB Elliott granted restraining order - can play this week

    Source: ESPN - Field Yates

Elliott was granted a temporary restraining order. From Field Yates - "Part of what this means: Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott can play this Sunday vs. the 49ers."

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is still far from settled. But the little bit of clarity we have for now is Elliott will at least be able to go this week.

KC - WR Tyreek Hill a full go in practice

    Source: Chiefs.com - B.J. Kissel

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (neck) participated fully in practice Tuesday, Oct. 17.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for Hill here and confirmation that he didn't suffer injury in this week's game.

IND - RB Robert Turbin out for season

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Indianapolis Colts RB Robert Turbin (arm) is expected to miss the rest of the season with an arm injury he suffered against the Tennessee Titans Monday, Oct. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tough news for Turbin here. More opportunities for Marlon Mack.

WAS - PK Dustin Hopkins going to IR

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo

Washington Redskins PK Dustin Hopkins (hip) is being placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Oct. 17. Free-agent PK Nick Rose (49ers) was signed by the Redskins in a corresponding move.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tough news for Hopkins. We'll see what Rose can do for this team.

TEN - No setbacks for QB Marcus Mariota

    Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (hamstring) made it through the Titans' Week 6 win without any setbacks to his ailing hamstring.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for Mariota and the Titans. He clearly wasn't as mobile as normal but he showed he could be extremely effective.

TEN - RB DeMarco Murray has tight hamstring

    Source: PaulKuharsky.com

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is dealing with hamstring tightness, but head coach Mike Mularkey believes Murray should be fine for Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watch this one closely for Murray. Hamstrings are tricky and with Derrick Henry, the Titans have the luxury of not rushing Murray. Stay tuned.

NO - TE Coby Fleener becoming a non-factor

    Source: ESPN.com

New Orleans Saints TE Coby Fleener has caught just three passes for 42 yards in his last three games. Furthermore, he was targeted only once in the Saints' 52-38 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fleener has ran 101 routes for the Saints this year, that mark ranks 31st in the NFL for the TE position. He's just not that involved with the team's offense...even though the Saints have a high-powered passing attack with QB Drew Brees. Fantasy owners have much better options than hoping for Fleener to start doing anything.

WAS - WR Josh Doctson to play bigger role?

Source: The Washington Post - Master Tesfatsion

Washington Redskins WR Josh Doctson is expected to see more playing time going forward, according to head coach Jay Gruden.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He's only played about 20 snaps per game, but as he continues to produce we could see Doctson get more of a chance to prove what he can do. He's got two touchdowns over the last three games, but only has four receptions during that time. We might see Doctson targeted more going forward.

TB - QB Jameis Winston could throw later in week

    Source: ESPN.com - Jenna Laine

Updating previous reports, Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston (shoulder) won't do any throwing until later in the week, if at all, according to head coach Dirk Koetter.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

They're not declaring him out but we're not overly excited about his chances to play. Check back on Friday to see if Winston is likely to play.

GB - Not likely to add QB Colin Kaepernick

Source: ESPN - Dianna Marie Russini

The Green Bay Packers are not likely to pursue free-agent QB Colin Kaepernick (49ers), mainly because head coach Mike McCarthy does not want to go after a veteran QB without previous ties to the Packers offense.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCarthy said he's got three years in Brett Hundley and two years in Joe Callahan and that's the guys they're going with.

    Thursday Update

IND - QB Andrew Luck regresses in recovery

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) has developed soreness in his surgically repaired shoulder.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Just bad news for the Colts and fantasy owners here. He was given a cortisone shot and will rest this week. There is no timetable for Luck's return. It's a tough break for the Colts and Luck guys but our take right now is we're operating as if we won't see Luck on the playing field this year.

CLE - QB DeShone Kizer back in the saddle

    Source: ClevelandBrowns.com

Cleveland Browns QB DeShone Kizer was named the starting quarterback Wednesday, Oct. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kizer was benched last week for Kevin Hogan and now finds his way back to the starting lineup after Hogan threw three picks in Week 6. We don't think Kizer will be a shot in the arm for the Browns offense, but he might feed RB Duke Johnson Jr. more as a receiver than Hogan did against the Texans.

DEN - QB Trevor Siemian takes part in practice

    Source: NFL

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Siemian said he was a little sore today, but he's ready to go for the game against the Chargers on Sunday. Even though he put up 376 yards against the Giants in Week 6, the team lost and he now finds himself in a position where he's potentially playing for his job security in Week 7 and beyond.

LAC - RB Melvin Gordon limited Wednesday

    Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oc.t 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gordon is going up against a tough Broncos rush defense on Sunday. The Broncos held him to 54 yards on 18 carries in Week 1. However, this same defense was just gashed by Giants RB Orleans Darkwa on Sunday night. Perhaps the Chargers can expose some weaknesses in the Broncos rush defense that the Giants took advantage of. Gordon is a low-end RB1 for fantasy owners this week.

BUF - WR Jordan Matthews may play this week

    Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia

Buffalo Bills WR Jordan Matthews (thumb) appears to have a chance to play in Week 7, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

His status is up in the air right now, but it seems to be trending in the right direction. With TE Charles Clay (knee) out, the Bills could use all the help they can get in the passing game. We'll know more about Matthews' status later in the week.

ATL - WR Mohamed Sanu practiced on limited basis

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu (hamstring) was able to put in a limited practice Wednesday, Oct. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanu should be back this week for the Falcons provided he suffers not setbacks. If he's on the field for the big game against the Patriots on Sunday night, it will give QB Matt Ryan another weapon to throw to. Sanu's presence may also limit the targets for a guy like Taylor Gabriel.

NYJ - RB Matt Forte limited in practice

    Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets RB Matt Forte (knee, toe) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Forte played last week against the Patriots and was able to contribute as a runner and receiver. His availability limited the opportunity for rookie Eli McGuire in Week 6 and would do the same in following weeks.

NO - WR Willie Snead logged 21 snaps in Week 6

    Source: Football Outsiders

New Orleans Saints WR Willie Snead played in only 21-of-71 snaps in a Week 6 victory over the Detroit Lions.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Saints had a plan to ease Snead back into action, and that's what they did in Week 6. Going forward, Snead should continue to get more snaps and more opportunities for the Saints. In Week 7 on the road against the Packers, Snead is a deep flex play for fantasy owners.

TB - QB Jameis Winston limited Wednesday

Source: WGR Sports Radio 550 - Sal Capaccio

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston (shoulder) remains day-to-day after practicing on a limited basis Wednesday, Oct. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Winston is going to get more work as the week of practice goes on. We'll see how his body responds to more reps on Thursday and Friday. Winston's status for Week 7 on the road against the Bills is up in the air. If he can't play, Ryan Fitzpatrick would get the start for the Bucs.

NYG - WR Sterling Shepard, RB Paul Perkins limited

    Source: NJ.com - James Kratch

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (ankle) and RB Paul Perkins (ribs) were able to participate in practice on a limited basis Wednesday, Oct. 18.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Giants are at home in Week 7 after getting their first win of the season against the Broncos on Sunday. They play the Seahawks and need as much help as they can get offensively. Shepard is the player to watch here. When healthy, Shepard will be the team's top WR with Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall done for the year. In that role, Shepard has WR3 value for fantasy owners.

BAL - WR Jeremy Maclin returns to practice

Source: The Baltimore Sun - Jeff Zrebiec

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 18, and is on track to suit up Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Maclin is on track to play against the Vikings, but with the struggles of QB Joe Flacco we can't really trust him as anything more than a desperation flex.

KC - WR Tyreek Hill good to go for Week 7

    Source:

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (neck) is expected to play in Week 7 against the Oakland Raiders.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a good matchup for the Chiefs offense on Thursday night. Hill can break off a big play anytime he touches the ball and has plenty of flex appeal for fantasy owners in Week 7.

KC - RB Charcandrick West to sit Week 7

    Source: ESPN.com - Adam Teicher

Kansas City Chiefs RB Charcandrick West (concussion) will not play in Week 7 versus the Oakland Raiders.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Without West, we could see Akeem Hunt get some snaps (maybe C.J. Spiller) if/when Kareem Hunt needs a breather.

JAX - No practice for RB Leonard Fournette

    Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (ankle) is not expected to practice Wednesday, Oct. 18, according to the team's website.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He's expected to play in Week 7, and the rookie has been dynamite for fantasy owners this year. Make sure he practices later in the week, but the team just might be getting him a day of rest after Fournette has touched the ball 145 times already in 2017.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell and WR Antonio Brown are the first pair of teammates since the 1970 merger with at least 700 scrimmage yards apiece in their team's first six games of the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Steelers best formula for winning football is to feed Bell and Brown the ball as much as possible. It's no surprise this talented duo has produced at such a high level in 2017.

TEN - Tennessee pleased with Week 6 backfield split

    Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey told reporters he liked the distribution of work in the backfield during the team's Week 6 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Derrick Henry rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries, while Murray gained 40 yards on 12 carries. Mularkey also said Henry is beginning to establish himself as a big key in the fourth quarter of games.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners aren't pleased with the split but it looks like that's going to be the recipe moving forward. Henry had a huge game on Monday night, and his production could continue this week against the Browns...not only because of the opponent but also because Murray is still bothered by a hamstring injury.

    Friday Update

MIA - WR DeVante Parker feeling 'much better'

Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (ankle) is 'feeling much better,' according to a source, who also would not speculate, however, whether Parker had progressed to the point where he can play in the team's Week 7 game Sunday, Oct. 22, against the New York Jets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stay tuned to this one and see if Parker can do anything Friday.

TEN - Full practice for QB Marcus Mariota

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (hamstring) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We like Mariota this weekend against Cleveland. Start him as a low-end QB1.

JAX - RB Leonard Fournette remains sidelined

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We aren't worried yet, and see Fournette as a decent RB1/RB2 start. But keep an eye on this situation and what Fournette is able to do Friday.

TEN - RB DeMarco Murray still not practicing

    Source: ESPN.com - Cameron Wolfe

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Murray is out, Derrick Henry becomes a very nice start. We could see him putting up excellent numbers against Cleveland, perhaps even RB1 numbers.

NYG - WR Sterling Shepard practicing

Source: The Bergen Record - Art Stapleton

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (ankle) is practicing Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Giants offense is a hot mess, last week's success notwithstanding. That said, we'll wait for a Friday practice to be certain whether he'll be involved this week and how much.

DEN - RB Jamaal Charles slated for more touches

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos RB Jamaal Charles is on tap to receive more touches, according to head coach Vance Joseph. 'That's always the plan with Jamaal as we go forward in the season,' Joseph said. 'He'll get more and more touches.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is still CJ Anderson's backfield, but it's hard not to be concerned that more Charles means less carries for Anderson and a RBBC setup that limits them both. We'll keep an eye on this, and right now it appears like though Anderson is the main back, he's not more than a RB3.

GB - QB Aaron Rodgers undergoes surgery

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) underwent surgery to repair his collarbone Thursday, Oct. 19, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rodgers hasn't yet been declared done for the year, but his season is likely over. The Packers haven't even put him on Injured Reserve yet...and even if he could come back it wouldn't be until the very end of the regular season.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders still sidelined at practice

    Source: DenverBroncos.com - Andrew Mason

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) missed another practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanders has already been declared out for Week 7. Expect Demaryius Thomas to get most of the targets when the Broncos go through the air against the Chargers on Sunday.

DEN - WR Demaryius Thomas returns to practice

Source: Denver7 Sports - Troy Renck

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (calf) was back at practice Thursday, Oct. 19, and got in a full session.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas has a bruise on his calf and was wearing a compression sleeve on his leg today at practice. With Emmanuel Sanders already being declared out for the game against the Chargers on Sunday, Thomas should be the focal point of the Broncos passing game.

LAC - RB Melvin Gordon limited again Thursday

    Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice for the second consecutive day Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gordon should be good to go against the Broncos on Sunday. The Giants were the first team to have success on the ground against Denver in 2017, and perhaps Gordon can duplicate that. We like him as a low-end RB1 in Week 7.

LAC - WR Keenan Allen limited in practice Thursday

    Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen (shoulder) was added to the injury report Thursday, Oct. 19, getting in a limited practice.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Allen is going to have a tough matchup against the Broncos 'No Fly Zone' on Sunday. Consider him a mid-range WR2 in Week 7.

SEA - RB C.J. Prosise practices in full Thursday

    Source: NFLMedia.com

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (ankle) practiced in full Thursday, Oct. 19, one day after he was a limited participant.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Prosise should be back on the field for Seattle this week. He'll serve as the pass-catching back for Seattle as they travel to play the Giants in Week 7. We aren't projecting him as anything more than a 'what the heck' flex for fantasy owners this week.

ATL - WR Mohamed Sanu still limited

    Source: Patriots.com

Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

They'll take it easy on Sanu as he works his way back. He's on track to play Sunday night against the Patriots, but make sure Sanu is practicing Friday before you plug him in as a 'what the heck' flex in Week 7.

NE - WR Chris Hogan limited in practice

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Chris Hogan (ribs) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We are not worried about Hogan, and still see him as a solid wr2 this weekend. Go ahead and start him, we would imagine Hill practice fully tomorrow in any event.

GB - Full practice for RB Ty Montgomery

    Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers RB Ty Montgomery (ribs) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Packers aren't running the ball a lot, they're not running the ball well, and now they've got a backup QB starting that could allow the defense to stack the box. That means that both Montgomery and Aaron Jones are iffy plays this weekend. Montgomery is slightly better play and someone you could run as a Hail Mary type Flex option. If possible though, we'd avoid this altogether.

NO - WR Willie Snead listed as limited

    Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

New Orleans Saints WR Willie Snead (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Snead hasn't been able to reclaim his place in this passing offense. Injury or no, we keep him on the Shelf this week.

BAL - WR Jeremy Maclin remains limited

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There's no one in Baltimore's passing offense that we want to roll with. Avoid this mess.

TEN - TE Delanie Walker limited

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker (calf) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Walker should be a good start as a TE1 this weekend. Don't worry about the calf, get him in your lineup.

NYJ - RB Matt Forte fully practices

    Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets RB Matt Forte (knee, toe) participated fully in practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Jets are doing what they can with the RBs and Forte has been effective catching passes. That still doesn't give him a ton of value, but he's a decent RB4.

ARI - No practice for RB Andre Ellington

Source: SiriusXM NFL Radio - Adam Caplan

Arizona Cardinals RB Andre Ellington (quadriceps) was not able to practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Adrian Peterson is the guy here anyway, and should play as a solid RB2 this weekend.

BUF - WR Jordan Matthews listed as limited

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills WR Jordan Matthews (thumb) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills passing offense is so-so, so it limits Matthews upside. We see him as no more than a WR5 against Tampa Bay.

PHI - RB Wendell Smallwood practices fully

Philadelphia Eagles RB Wendell Smallwood (knee) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins RB Rob Kelley (ankle) put in a limited practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kelley it's stuck behind Chris Thompson and is no more than a RB5. Thompson is a borderline RB2/RB3.

CAR - Limited practice for RB Jonathan Stewart

Source: The Associated Press - Steve Reed

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

They're just taking it easy on him, and we think Stuart will be a decent RB2 this week. However monitor his practice Friday.

NYJ - RB Bilal Powell will play in Week 7

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets RB Bilal Powell (calf) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 19, and will be able to play in Week 7, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Powell is probably the most effective Runner, but if he comes back and everyone is active this becomes a RBBC situation, which could ruin everybody's value.

MIA - RB Jay Ajayi also misses practice

Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi (knee) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ajayi is a solid option this week against a Jets run defense that hasn't always been good. Start him as a RB2, and know he could have some upside.

MIN - WR Stefon Diggs unsure of status

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero
Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (groin) said his status for this weekend is up in the air at this point, adding that his 2016 groin injury was more severe than his current groin issue.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We're not betting he plays this weekend against Baltimore. Consider Adam Thielen your best bet and start him as a solid WR2, with Laquon Treadwell as a flex play/WR5. Diggs struggled with this same injury last year, we don't expect the team to rush him out there and risk that again this year.

    Saturday Update

OAK - RB Marshawn Lynch suspended one game

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Oakland Raiders RB Marshawn Lynch was suspended one game Friday, Oct. 20, for unsportsmanlike conduct. Lynch was ejected from the team's Week 7 game for contact with an official.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

ProFootballTalk.com reports Lynch has appealed the suspension and a hearing will likely be held next week. If Lynch does not win the appeal, he'd miss the October 29 against Buffalo.

TB - QB Jameis Winston to start versus Buffalo

Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud

Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston (shoulder) will play through a minor AC sprain in his right shoulder and start Week 7 against the Buffalo Bills.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Winston might have a lower ceiling this week because of his injury and the matchup, but he's still a safe QB1 play at Buffalo.

TEN - No practice for TE Delanie Walker

    Source: TitansOnline.com

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker (calf) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 20, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Walker is trending in the wrong direction and might miss a choice matchup against the Browns. Make sure to check back on Sunday morning if you are planning on playing him. Rookie Jonnu Smith could be a fine waiver wire add to play in place of Walker if he is out.

TEN - RB DeMarco Murray limited Friday

    Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 20, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Murray is a game-time decision and the possibility of limited effectiveness, or limited work with a bye up next week, is enough to keep him on your bench unless you have no other viable option.

JAX - RB Leonard Fournette idle Friday

    Source: The Florida Times-Union - Ryan O'Halloran

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (ankle) was out of practice Friday, Oct. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fournette will probably be classified as a game-time decision, but no practice the week before the bye probably means he'll sit. Chris Ivory becomes an RB1 play and Corey Grant a what the heck flex if Fournette is out.

MIA - Another missed practice for WR DeVante Parker

Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (ankle) did not practice for a sixth straight time Friday, Oct. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There was some optimism about Parker playing, but it is difficult to see him going with no practice this week. Kenny Stills is a more attractive sleeper against the Jets on this news.

CAR - WR Kelvin Benjamin returns to practice Friday

    Source: ESPN.com - David Newton

Carolina Panthers WR Kelvin Benjamin (knee) was back at practice Friday, Oct 20, sporting a sleeve on the left knee that kept him from practicing the previous two days.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This greatly increases the chances of Benjamin playing this weekend against the Bears. He's a solid WR3/Flex play with some risk as long as he's active.

JAX - WR Dede Westbrook progressing

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike DiRocco

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook (core) is eligible to come off the Reserve/Injured list after the bye, and he might see his first game action in Week 9 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Westbrook shouldn't be on any dynasty waiver wires, and he could have redraft value with the best deep speed to harness Blake Bortles ability in that part of the passing game, set up in play action by a revived running game led by Leonard Fournette.

MIN - WR Stefon Diggs ruled out for Week 7

    Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (groin) did not practice Friday, Oct. 20, and he has been ruled out for Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Adam Thielen should get a ton of targets against the Ravens this week, making him a solid WR2.

NE - RB Rex Burkhead not on injury report

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots RB Rex Burkhead (ribs) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 20, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Burkhead will return this week. He's worth a speculative add in deeper leagues with Mike Gillislee's hold on goal-line carries loosened and the potency of the Patriots offense.

JAX - Questionable tag for WR Marqise Lee

    Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 20, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lee could play this week, but Allen Hurns has been hot against the Colts when he has faced them in recent years and should be played over Lee this week.

SEA - RB C.J. Prosise practices in full

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (ankle) was able to practice in full Friday, Oct. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Prosise should return to the lineup this week. His role might be small and he doesn't seem able to stay healthy for long, but Prosise's big play upside and passing game involvement make him worth a speculative add in deeper PPR leagues.

WAS - RB Rob Kelley limited in practice

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins RB Rob Kelley (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in practice for the second straight day Friday, Oct. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Even if Kelley is set to go and start this week, the Eagles run defense is among the league's best and one to be avoided when running backs of Kelley's caliber are facing them.

PHI - RB Wendell Smallwood practices in full

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles RB Wendell Smallwood (knee) practiced in full for the second straight day on Friday, Oct. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smallwood should be ready to return to Monday night. He'll be a suitable flex option in PPR leagues and a fine PRR RB2 in a pinch.

GB - RB Ty Montgomery off injury report

    Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers RB Ty Montgomery (ribs) was able to practice in full Friday, Oct. 20, and he was lifted off the injury report ahead of the Week 7 game against the New Orleans Saints.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Montgomery is still going to share with Aaron Jones, and neither is a safe or high upside play against New Orleans this week.

LAC - WR Keenan Allen may be game-time decision

    Source: ESPN.com - Eric D. Williams

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen (shoulder) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 20, because of a shoulder injury he suffered Thursday, Oct. 19 and is listed as questionable for Week 7. Head coach Anthony Lynn said Allen hopes to play but the team will do what is best for Allen.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Allen was already facing a tough Broncos pass defense, so this could be a nudge to bench him if your next best option is playing in an early game.

BAL - Benjamin Watson listed as questionable

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Baltimore Ravens TE Benjamin Watson (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 20, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watson had missed practice earlier this week, but at least he was able to return in some fashion today. He could get a lot of targets in the downfield passing challenged Baltimore offense if he is active.

BAL - WR Jeremy Maclin may be game-time decision

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 20, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Maclin was limited last week and did not play. He ran the red non-contact jersey on in practice earlier this week. This looks like a true game-time decision.

NYJ - WR Robby Anderson likely will play

    Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 20, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Anderson's status was in doubt, but it looks like his missed practices earlier this week were just a precaution. His presence helps Josh McCown, but lowers the ceiling for Jeremy Kerley and Jermaine Kearse.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Matthews could be back this week, but his ceiling is still in a limited Buffalo passing game. He's worth an add in deep leagues on this news.

Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson

Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Bradford (knee) has been ruled out and Case Keenum will start again versus the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7, according to head coach Mike Zimmer.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We might not see Bradford again this year if his knee doesn't respond. There is no structural damage, but the quarterback clearly does not trust his knee. He is a questionable hold in redraft leagues.

BAL - WR Mike Wallace misses another practice

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens WR Mike Wallace (back) was absent from practice for a second straight day Friday, Oct. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wallace said he was going to play this week, but we'll believe it when we see it. Chris Moore could get a lot more playing time this week, especially if Jeremy Maclin can't go.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's great as he is entering free agency, but he wasn't supposed to need more back surgery after barely playing this year. Eifert's reception on the market will be interesting to watch, as his durability record demands a low-risk short-term investment. Tyler Kroft will start for the Bengals for the rest of the year and maybe beyond.

MIA - RB Jay Ajayi dealing with chronic soreness

Source: Florida Football Insiders - Roy Cummings
Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi (knee) has been dealing with chronic knee soreness since the end of the preseason, which has required a day off each week for treatment. Offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen hinted that it has stunted Ajayi's development in the passing game because of the missed repetitions. 'It is kind of an issue (because) he doesn't practice every single day,' Christensen said. 'So he probably needs the extra reps in the passing game, but when you get him out there you want to get your runs called.'
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Ajayi is going to remain a boom/bust RB2 as long as his passing game involvement stays limited, but if the Dolphins are competitive, the boom weeks will come.

He's listed as questionable, but that's what I'm hearing b/c he didn't practice all week, from what LT provided. How will Jacksonville move the ball if he doesn't play? Fournette has been putting up great numbers facing a whole lot of 8 man in box. Even though Indy's only wins have been against winless teams, JAX is like one if they have to rely on Blake the mistake more. JAX would be all defense and no offense.

    Sunday Morning Injury Updates

    QUARTERBACK

Jameis Winston | Shoulder | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Full
In order to play, Winston had to prove a full and free throwing motion. After rest and treatment through Thursday, Winston did exactly that during Friday's practice. While the end of the week practice isn't extensive, Winston threw well -- including a playful 40-yard line drive at an assembled group of filming observers -- and has been cleared to start. Dirk Koetter confirmed after practice, saying Winston "threw the ball well...He will be out there." Winston's injury was a low-grade AC sprain and could be aggravated during the game. Expect the Buccaneers to protect Winston as much as possible and for Winston to try to limit hits directly to the shoulder. While there's no guarantee he'll avoid in-game issues, he should be able to finish the game without significant accuracy issues or other limitations.

MARCUS MARIOTA | HAMSTRING | Not Listed | Expected TO PLAY

Practice Participation: Wed - Full | Thurs - Full | Fri - Full

The Titans game planned to keep Mariota in the pocket on Monday night and Mariota executed the plan, even sliding with no defenders around rather than accelerating after breaking the pocket on one play. Mike Mularkey told reporters Mariota was "much further ahead" after practicing fully this week. It's likely the Titans will continue to limit any play calling that will ask Mariota to run but I don't believe he'll be instructed to slide rather than scramble downfield this week. If Mariota feels comfortable in warmups, I also think the Titans will open their playbook and include more rollouts this week.

    Others of note: Cam Newton
(shoulder), Andy Dalton (ankle), Trevor Siemian (shoulder), and Blake Bortles (wrist) have practiced, are not listed on the game status report, and are expected to play without limitation. Sam Bradford (knee) and Andrew Luck (shoulder) have been declared out. I'll update return to play expectations on all inactive players in Monday's column.

    RUNNING BACK

    Leonard Fournette | Ankle | Questionable | Game-time Decision

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - DNP | Fri - DNP

There is good data to help project Fournette's availability. Unfortunately, the data do not lead to a clear conclusion -- yet.

We know Fournette has had chronic issues with his feet and ankles. They were an issue in college, they limited him in the preseason, and the Jaguars have frequently limited his practice this season. Fournette's mechanism was clearly a low ankle sprain but it was a fairly violent mechanism. The Jaguars did not clear Fournette to practice this week. And we didn't hear from Fournette on Friday, which is often a concerning sign for that week's availability.

We also know Fournette has continued to see a huge workload despite the limitations through the first six weeks. He was cleared to return to the game last Sunday. Fournette told reporters he would play on Thursday. The Jaguars clearly don't have a concern about Fournette playing after limited practices. And Doug Marrone would not rule Fournette out in his Friday press conference, hinting he was waiting for the medical staff decision before deciding whether to trust Fournette in the weekly game plan.

Fournette was cleared to run on Thursday. The plan -- which is the usual progression of clearing a player with an ankle injury to return to play -- was to evaluate how well Fournette cut on his injured ankle on Friday, see how his injury responded to increased activity on Saturday, then make a call on clearance. There was no report of how Fournette looked or felt on Friday. I expect we'll hear more on Saturday afternoon. I'll be shocked if Adam Schefter or Ian Rapoport do not have an update by early Sunday morning. And the game is an early afternoon start. So, we'll know where Fournette stands before game time.

I'd be more comfortable projecting Fournette to play -- and without limitation -- if he was cleared for a limited practice or we hear his Friday evaluation went well. I still think that's the most likely outcome but it's a situation to monitor closely.

If Fournette is active, the other critical piece of information to follow is T.J. Yeldon's status. The Jaguars have been content to roll with Fournette and Chris Ivory this year. Yeldon has been a healthy scratch for weeks. If Fournette is active and Yeldon inactive, it's a strong sign the Jaguars are comfortable with the usual game plan. If Fournette and Yeldon are both active, it should be seen as evidence the Jaguars are nervous about Fournette finishing the game.

***Sunday AM Update: Both Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter reporting the Jaguars are not optimistic Fournette will play but are planning to allow him to go through pregame warmups before making a final decision.

    Melvin Gordon
    | Shoulder | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Gordon is listed questionable with a shoulder injury. Anthony Lynn told reporters Gordon was "just a little banged up...and sore" on Thursday. Despite multiple updates on other critical offensive players -- Joe Barksdale and Keenan Allen -- on Friday, Lynn didn't provide any new information on Gordon. I think that's an indication the Chargers aren't concerned about Gordon's availability and expect him to be cleared to see his usual workload. That would be consistent with what we've seen in earlier weeks when Gordon was limited in practice with nagging soreness in his knee but saw no reduction in his snap count. There's a slim chance the return of Branden Oliver cuts into Gordon's passing down duty but it's not enough to bet against 20+ touches for Gordon.

    DeMarco Murray
    | Hamstring | Questionable | Expected to Play | Limited if Active

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - DNP | Fri - Limited

There are multiple reasons for Murray to rest this week. He's been dealing with this hamstring strain for two months. Continually at risk of aggravation, he's tweaked the strain twice already and somehow avoided a prolonged absence. The Titans have a bye next week, which would allow for much-needed healing time and reconditioning with risking an in-game setback. And unlike many teams, Tennessee has another back on the roster who is as dangerous as their injured star.

But Murray hates to miss games. After aggravating this strain in Week 2, he barely practiced but played and ran for over 100 yards on 14 carries -- including a rumbling 70-yard touchdown. After last week's early game aggravation and missing time to ice the injury on the sideline, Murray again returned to contribute in the second half.

Murray told reporters Friday, "These are the kind of things you usually don't play on." But he also said he may play and "worry about the aftermath after it's done, no matter what the repercussions may be," after a limited practice on Friday and says he'll go through pre-game warmups before deciding on his status. Mike Mularkey said this week's process was very similar to what they planned in Week 3 when Murray played. After suggesting the Titans would promote a running back to the active roster for depth if Murray couldn't go, there were no Saturday transactions. That would seemingly be still more data to suggest Murray is going to suit up.

Were it not for Murray's past history, I'd be certain Murray would be inactive this week and take the bye week to continue his recovery. But I was wrong in Week 3 and it looks like the Titans have other ideas for Week 7, too. If Murray does play, it's extremely unlikely he'll see more than 15 touches. He'll be at risk of an early setback and would be sensitive to game script. Do not expect a repeat of Week 3 if he's active.

***Sunday AM Update: Multiple reports have Murray playing today. That's consistent with the Titans' previous plans with Murray and their Saturday decision not to elevate a running back from the practice squad as depth. There's clear risk involved in this decision and it will likely take multiple factors (early effectiveness, injury to Henry, favorable game script) for Murray to see anything close to 15 touches.

*Rob Kelley | Ankle | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited | Sat - Limited

Kelley is listed questionable but expected to play. There are indications Washington plans to continue a rotation of running backs despite the continued improvement in Kelley's health. Expect his workload to reflect his early game effectiveness and game script.

    Bilal Powell
    | Calf | Not Listed | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - Full | Fri - Full

It looked like Powell would miss another week after not practicing on Wednesday. The Jets cleared Powell for a full Thursday practice and he responded to the increased activity well enough for another full practice on Friday. He was not listed on the game status report and will play. Don't expect Powell to see a significant majority of the Jets' backfield workload, however. Matt Forte is also healthy and no longer missing practice. And Elijah McGuire will likely see time, too.

    Andre Ellington
    | Quad | Questionable | Likely Inactive

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - DNP | Fri - DNP

Ellington reportedly suffered a quad injury and had swelling on the plane home last week. That's more consistent with a contusion than a strain. Bruce Arians told reporters he expected Ellington to play but the practice line is concerning. If the Cardinals knew there was swelling early in the week and cleared Ellington for practice on Wednesday, the DNP on Thursday and Friday looks worrisome. Hopefully, Arians was already aware of a positive response to treatment and the Cardinals exercised caution in practice. I'll watch for more news through the weekend.

***Sunday AM Update: Adam Schefter reporting overnight Ellington is not expected to play.

    C.J. Prosise
    | Ankle | Questionable | Game-time Decision

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Full | Fri - Full

The practice participation line on Prosise looks reassuring with consecutive full practices on Thursday and Friday. However, Pete Carroll would not confirm Prosise would be available this week and the Seahawks routinely allow players to miss practice without listing them on the game status report at the end of the week. Prosise has been inactive after limited practices in the past. I'm leaning toward Prosise playing and working in a limited role but it should not be surprising if the Seahawks choose to rest him one more week.

    Others of note: Jay Ajayi
(knee), Ty Montgomery (ribs), Matt Forte (toe/knee), Jerick McKinnon (ankle), Jonathan Stewart (ankle), Wendell Smallwood (knee), Branden Oliver (hamstring), and Rex Burkhead (rib) have practiced, are not listed on the game status report, and are expected to play without limitation. Terrance West (calf) and Paul Perkins (ribs) have been declared out. I'll update return to play expectations on all inactive players in Monday's column.

    WIDE RECEIVER

Keenan Allen | Shoulder | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Not Listed |Thurs - Limited | Fri - DNP

Allen injured his shoulder after falling to the ground on Thursday. Anthony Lynn told reporters Allen was sore on Friday and was not cleared to practice. Lynn also said Allen wants to play this week and was considered day-to-day. The Chargers are home against Denver this week, which keeps us from using travel clearance as a data point. Hopefully, we'll have a Sunday morning report to assist with a projection. For now, a game-time decision is all we have to go on.

***Sunday AM Update: Per Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport, the Chargers will work Allen out before game time but expect him to play.

    Kelvin Benjamin
    | Knee | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - DNP | Fri - Full

I speculated Benjamin was visiting the team physician to have a fluid collection drained on Thursday. It was reported on Friday he was dealing with "a bursa sac issue" and was able to return to a full practice. The report is reassuring news. A muscle contusion, bone bruise, or other forms of less-specific swelling around the knee might be more difficult to play through. Draining fluid from a bursa sac and additional treatment should have Benjamin ready for a full workload this week. He's expected to play.

***Sunday AM Update: Per Adam Schefter, Benjamin will play today.

    Demaryius Thomas
    | Calf | Not Listed | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Thomas was reportedly leg-whipped during last week's game and spent most of the second half hobbling in and out of routes. After a missed Wednesday practice, Thomas was able to practice on both Thursday and Friday. He was not listed on the injury report and will play. Thomas has a history of playing through painful leg issues in the past and should have a good chance to see his usual snap count.

    DeVante Parker
    | Ankle | Doubtful | Likely Inactive

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - DNP | Fri - DNP

The Dolphins listed Parker as doubtful on the game status report. While he's not been officially ruled out, he's not practiced or spoken to the media in two weeks. Specifics on his ankle injury have yet to be reported. We may not know more until after he returns to practice and is preparing to play. That's an issue for future weeks -- expect Parker to be inactive on Sunday.

    Marqise Lee
    | Knee | Questionable | Likely to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - DNP | Fri - Limited

Lee played through a rib injury recently but has struggled to practice after last week's knee injury. There was little actionable information in the practice reports from local observers this week. On Saturday, the Jaguars promoted a practice squad receiver to the active roster. With no other receivers on the injury report, it's likely a sign of concern for Lee. Lean toward him missing this week's game.

***Sunday AM Update: Ian Rapoport tweeted Lee is expected to play.

    Sterling Shepard
    | Ankle | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Shepard was optimistic throughout the week he'd be able to return to action. After a week of limited practice, there are still indications the Giants would like to see him cut comfortably in pregame workouts before committing to him on the active roster. I think Shepard is closer to probable than doubtful, and I'll update with any early Sunday morning news nuggets.

***Sunday AM Update: Ian Rapoport tweeted Shepard is expected to play.

    Jordan Matthews
    | Thumb | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Full

The Bills remain tight-lipped on Matthews' availability. Earlier this week, Sean McDermott hinted that Matthews wasn't doing enough in practice to be activated. Most beat writers and observers were impressed with Matthews' speed and hands in practice, however. After a full Friday practice, it's likely Matthews is considered ready to return. I lean toward Matthews playing and seeing a sizable workload but it's not yet a certainty.

***Sunday AM Update: Ian Rapoport tweeted Matthews is expected to play.

    Willie Snead
    | Hamstring | Questionable | Likely to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Snead remained limited in practice all week despite returning to play last week. There have been no indications of an aggravation. It's likely that Snead's limited workload -- 21 of 71 snaps -- last week had more to do with the Saints' stated plan to ease Snead back into the offensive game plan slowly than any injury issues. But it's clearly a concern to see Snead's continued limited practice duty.

    Jeremy Maclin
    | Shoulder | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Mike Wallace | Back | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - DNP | Fri - Limited

The Ravens' offense is a mess. Joe Flacco likely still isn't right after offseason disc troubles. The offensive line is missing multiple key pieces and Danny Woodhead remains on injured reserve. Terrance West, Breshad Perriman, and Maxx Williams have already been declared out. Benjamin Watson joins Maclin and Wallace as continued question marks this week.

With Perriman out, you'd think the Ravens would have to make at least one roster move if Maclin or Wallace were doubtful to go. Those roster moves didn't happen on Saturday, so it seems likely both Maclin and Wallace will play. Maclin was a late game-time scratch last week after limited practices and is probably more limited than Wallace, who said his back was sore after a hit last week. Even if Maclin and Wallace are active, the limitations of the Baltimore offense will likely keep the statistical upside for both down.

***Sunday AM Update: Ian Rapoport tweeted that both Maclin and Wallace are expected to play today.

    Mohamed Sanu
    | Hamstring | Not Listed | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Dan Quinn told reporters Sanu looked explosive in his return to practice and would have no limitations this week. Expect a significant workload in his first game back.

    Michael Floyd
    | Hamstring | Questionable | Game-time Decision

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - DNP | Fri - Limited

A limited Friday practice gives Floyd a chance to play, especially with Stefon Diggs already ruled out. Floyd is limited, however, and shouldn't be counted on for a full workload.

    Others of note:
Emmanuel Sanders (ankle), Chris Hogan (ribs), and Robby Anderson (knee) and have practiced, are not listed on the game status report, and are expected to play without limitation. Stefon Diggs (groin), Breshad Perriman (concussion), and Markus Wheaton (groin) have been declared out. I'll update return to play expectations on all inactive players in Monday's column.

    TIGHT END

    Delanie Walker | Calf | Questionable | Game-time Decision

Practice Participation: Wed - Not Listed | Thurs - Limited | Fri - DNP

Walker's practice line looks concerning. Mike Mularkey told reporters Walker had soreness in his upper calf on Thursday and the team chose treatment over practice on Friday. The tone of Mularkey's comments didn't sound worrisome but I expect Walker to have to prove himself ready in pregame warmups to make the active roster.

***Sunday AM Update: Adam Schefter is reporting Walker will play.
Benjamin Watson | Knee | Questionable | Likely to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - DNP | Fri - Limited

There's an argument the Ravens have no healthy pass catchers on the roster other than Javorius Allen right now. Watson has played through a calf strain despite not practicing often over the past month. The knee injury is new, however, and no specifics are known. Given Watson's recent history of playing without practice and the return to a Friday limited practice, I tentatively expect him to play.

    Others of note
: George Kittle (chest) and Marcedes Lewis (shoulder) have practiced, are not listed on the game status report, and are expected to play without limitation. Charles Clay (knee) and Maxx Williams (ankle) have been declared out. I'll update return to play expectations on all inactive players in Monday's column.

    DEFENSIVE PLAYER NOTES

    EDGE:

Olivier Vernon tested his ankle in practice on Wednesday and it didn't respond as hoped. He will be inactive and hopeful to return after the bye week.

Cliff Avril was moved to injured reserve. His injury was immediately concerning as it appeared he was having symptoms on both sides of his body. He's seeking multiple opinions and may require surgery that would keep him out until 2018.
    DEFENSIVE LINE:
There are rumblings among Jets' observers the team will finally choose to shut an injured and ineffective Muhammad Wilkerson down this week.

Stephon Tuitt has been ruled out with a back injury after not practicing all week. Corey Liuget may also be inactive as he struggles through back problems.
    LINEBACKER:

The Panthers finally acknowledged Luke Kuechly's concussion on the game status report, removing the "protocol" tag on Friday. Hopefully, Kuechly's Friday limited practice is a good sign for his Week 8 availability.

Kwon Alexander, Sean Lee, and Rueben Foster are all expected back in full time roles.
There's not much information on Mark Barron but he played without much practice this week and should be able to splint his thumb injury and play.
    DEFENSIVE BACK:
As has often been the case, a muscle strain will keep Morgan Burnett out multiple weeks. He'll hopefully return after the Packers' Week 8 bye.

Ronald Darby could be back in a limited role on Monday night. Jeremy Lane, Adam Jones, and Stephon Gilmore have been ruled out.

Kurt Coleman returned to practice this week but Ron Rivera sounded reluctant to play him on Friday. He may be more doubtful than questionable.

Jason McCourty's practice participation decreased all week and he did not practice on Friday. He's trending toward a game day inactive.

    Leonard Fournette

One story we're following closely this morning: It's not official yet but it's looking like Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette will not play. Per NFL.com's Ian Rapoport who posted, "The #Jaguars are not expecting to have star RB Leonard Fournette (ankle) vs. #Colts, sources say. Sunday, then bye week to rest." ESPN's Adam Schefter says this: "Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette, listed as questionable for Sunday due to foot injury, is considered a gameday decision. Jags not optimistic." Fortunately, it's a 1 PM game so we'll have official word about 11:30 this morning.

Have a great day and I hope all the bounces go your way today.

    Here's to Football.

    Sunday Update

MIN - WR Michael Floyd optimistic

Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson

Minnesota Vikings WR Michael Floyd (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 7 but said he is optimistic about his chances of playing.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Floyd may be on the field, but we're not over the moon about his fantasy prospects. He did mention he would like to see more targets in the passing game.

PHI - RB Wendell Smallwood questionable

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles RB Wendell Smallwood (knee) fully participated in practice Saturday, Oct. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smallwood has RB4 or deep flex potential against Washington in Week 7. The fact he fully participated on Saturday is a sign that he should be able to play on Monday night.

CLE - WR Kenny Britt on thin ice

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Cleveland Browns WR Kenny Britt was sent home from Houston last week for missing curfew and will be released if he makes another mistake, according to a source. Britt can redeem himself against the Tennessee Titans in Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Britt has been on thin ice with the Browns for most of this season. With Britt in the doghouse, we could see more of guys like Ricardo Louis or Rashard Higgins for the Browns. With DeShone Kizer back in the starting lineup for the Browns, we're not thrilled about the Cleveland passing attack.

WAS - RB Rob Kelley listed as questionable

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins RB Rob Kelley (ribs) was limited during practice Saturday, Oct. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kelley should be back in action this week. That will take away most of the opportunity for Samaje Perine. As Kelley has missed time, the rookie Perine has been getting a healthy dose of carries...and doing next to nothing with those touches. Chris Thompson will continue as the most dangerous Washington back...and the most fantasy relevant - especially in PPR leagues.

BUF - TE Charles Clay could return this season

    Source: NFL.com

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott is optimistic that TE Charles Clay (knee) could resume playing before the end of the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Clay underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee in early October and was slated to miss multiple weeks. Getting him back would be good for the offense as Clay is a favorite target of QB Tyrod Taylor. He's likely been released in your fantasy league, but he's not yet close to enough to add back to your roster if you need TE help.

MIN - QB Sam Bradford could return this year

    Source: NFL.com

Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer believes QB Sam Bradford (knee) will be able to resume playing later this season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bradford has already missed a handful of games this year, and Teddy Bridgewater is almost back to the playing field. If Bradford does come back later this year, it could be as a backup behind Bridgewater.

CLE - RB Duke Johnson the better back?

    Source: ESPN.com

Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson has outgained RB Isaiah Crowell by 62 total yards on 36 fewer touches, and Johnson leads the team with 26 catches and 269 receiving yards.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson is the better all-purpose back...and because the Browns play from behind it leans more towards the pass-catching back (Johnson) than it does the banger (Crowell). Johnson continues to be a RB2 or flex play for fantasy owners in PPR leagues.

PHI - Big workload for TE Zach Ertz

    Source: ESPN.com

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz's 53 targets rank eighth in the NFL, and he is the only tight end ranked in the top 10 in targets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ertz is a favorite target of second-year QB Carson Wentz. Clearly he's a TE1 for fantasy owners on a weekly basis, regardless of the matchup.

MIN - Tough sledding for RB Latavius Murray

    Source: ESPN.com

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray is averaging 2.6 yards on 25 carries in the two games since RB Dalvin Cook (knee) was injured.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Murray is still dealing with the ankle injury that caused him to miss offseason work. As he gets back into football shape, Murray could start performing better. However, he's clearly the backup behind Jerrick McKinnon in Minnesota.

PIT - No plans to trade WR Martavis Bryant

Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Gerry Dulac
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant has not been mentioned in trade discussions, according to team president Art Rooney II. 'We're not looking to trade Martavis,' Rooney said. 'He was out of football for a year. Maybe some of us had higher expectations how quickly he could get back up to full speed, but he's making progress.'
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Bryant may or may not want a trade from the Steelers, but there's no incentive to move the young wideout. With the trade deadline coming up on Halloween, we're not expecting Bryant to get dealt.

    Monday Update

ARI - QB Carson Palmer breaks arm

    Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (arm) suffered a broken left arm during the team's Week 7 game and will need to undergo surgery, according to head coach Bruce Arians. Palmer will miss at least eight weeks and could miss the rest of the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cardinals are going into their bye without a starting quarterback. Drew Stanton was horrendous and the team could look to Blaine Gabbert with a week to ponder their options, or maybe eventually if Stanton doesn't improve.

ARI - RB Adrian Peterson bottled up

    Source: The Associated Press

Arizona Cardinals RB Adrian Peterson rushed 11 times for just 21 yards in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams in London.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Will the real Peterson stand up? He's not as good as last week and better than this week.

MIA - QB Jay Cutler leaves game

    Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins QB Jay Cutler (chest) suffered a chest injury in Week 7 and is considered questionable to return.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Matt Moore is in, which didn't seem like it was going to take an injury to happen a few weeks ago, although Cutler was actually playing his best game of the year.

DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott had monster game

    Source: DallasCowboys.com

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott rushed 26 times for a season-best 147 yards and two touchdowns in Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers and he added a 72-yard touchdown on his only reception. His 10 100-yard games ties former RB Don Perkins for fifth-most in franchise history.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With the legal issues still swirling, Elliott seemed to be focused on the game which was great news for Dallas.

BUF - RB LeSean McCoy logs 122 total yards

    Source: The Associated Press

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy rushed 23 times for 91 yards and two touchdowns and caught five passes for 31 yards in a 30-27 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCoy ran hard and effectively and was efficient as a receiver.

JAX - WR Allen Hurns hits century mark

    Source: The Associated Press

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns posted five receptions for 101 yards on eight targets in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Hurns had a long catch and run and his fantasy value has a pulse with Blake Bortles coming off of a good game. He's not worth a hold in short bench leagues but is a suitable bye/injury depth receiver in typical leagues.

JAX - QB Blake Bortles throws for 330 yards

    Source: The Associated Press

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles completed 18 of his 26 pass attempts for 330 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Jaguars came out very aggressive in the passing game to exploit the Colts problems defending the pass. Bortles could have some matchup value after his bye if he can keep throwing this well.

GB - RB Aaron Jones reaches end zone

    Source: NFL.com

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed for 131 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries against the New Orleans Saints in Week 7. He also caught three passes for seven yards during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones was outstanding with a 46-yard score early and good gains on almost all of his carries. He should remain Plan A on offense coming out of the bye with Brett Hundley unable to move the offense through the air.

GB - QB Brett Hundley struggles in Week 7

    Source: NFL.com

Green Bay Packers QB Brett Hundley went 12-for-25 for 87 yards and one interception against the New Orleans Saints in Week 7. He also rushed for 44 yards and one touchdown on three carries.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hundley wasn't able to get in any kind of groove with the Packers pass offense this week. The team will have the bye to get this straightened out, but it seems like Aaron Jones is the only reliable Packer in our fantasy lineups, and even he is subject to being dragged down by this offense.

CAR - QB Cam Newton struggles in road loss

    Source: The Associated Press

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton completed 21 of his 34 pass attempts for 211 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 7 game against the Chicago Bears. He also rushed nine times for a team-high 50 yards.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The two turnovers that led to Bears touchdowns weren't really Newton's fault, but he didn't do anything to help the team out of the 14 point hole. He had three straight good fantasy performances and should probably remain in your lineup against the Bucs defense next week.

NO - RB Mark Ingram surpasses 100-yard mark

    Source: NFL.com

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram rushed for 105 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries against the Green Bay Packers in Week 7. He also caught four passes for five yards during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
As long as the Saints defense is playing well, Ingram is going to be set up for high volume and goal-line looks. He has turned into an RB1 since Adrian Peterson was traded.

MIN - RB Jerick McKinnon posts 57 total yards

    Source: NFL.com

Minnesota Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon rushed for 47 yards on 14 carries against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7. He also caught three passes for 10 yards during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McKinnon's week was a letdown after his huge games the last two weeks, but he still had 17 touches and Baltimore is a stout defense. He's still a high upside flex in nonPPR and RB2 in PPR leagues.

TEN - RB Derrick Henry goes nowhere fast

    Source: The Associated Press

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed 13 times for just 13 yards in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns and he added two receptions for 11 yards on three targets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Henry was the disappointment of Week 7 after he finished out Week 6 so strong and appeared to be poised for a bigger opportunity with Demarco Murray less than 100%. He's still a hold heading into the bye, but Murray isn't going away and paving the way for Henry.

TEN - QB Marcus Mariota doesn't do much

    Source: The Associated Press

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota completed 21 of his 34 pass attempts for 203 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns. He also ran once for eight yards.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mariota was a huge disappointment against a weak Browns pass defense that was missing its top corner, Jason McCourty. He's not a QB1 heading into his bye, but his hamstring should be healthier and the fantasy-enhancing running ability should be back.

MIN - RB Latavius Murray play well in Week 7

    Source: NFL.com

Minnesota Vikings RB Latavius Murray rushed for 113 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Murray ran much better than he had in the two previous weeks, and will be a solid weekly flex with the Vikings defense able to keep them in conservative balanced game plans most weeks. He'll be a flex against Cleveland next week.

CLE - QB Cody Kessler works in relief

    Source: The Associated Press

Cleveland Browns QB Cody Kessler completed 10 of his 19 pass attempts for 121 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in relief of QB DeShone Kizer in Week 7 against the Tennessee Titans.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kessler was a little safer with the ball than DeShone Kizer after Kizer had two picks, but he is still a bottom-end backup at best. This offense isn't going to outproduce or even live up to modest expectations agaisnt Minnesota next week, especially if Joe Thomas is out.

BAL - RB Javorius Allen catches eight passes

    Source: NFL.com
Baltimore Ravens RB Javorius Allen caught eight passes for 29 yards against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7. He also rushed for 20 yards on six carries during the game.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Allen is generating some PPR value when the Ravens are playing from behind, and value across formats when their defense controls the game, but he is still too inconsistent to trust as a more than a flex heading into a matchup with Miami.

Not permanently, but Moore is taking over for the foreseeable future with Cutler having broken ribs.
