So, 12 Cleveland Browns knelt tonight, even a whitey?

    Embarrassing.

    What are they protesting???

I see Isaiah Crowell in there. Can't say that I'm surprised considering that he posted this pic on Instagram last summer prior to Kaepernick's shenanigans.

It was during the national anthem.

I'd love to individually question each guy about what they were protesting. I'm guessing every answer would be different, each one more stupid than the first.

Going to have to mandate the players stand or just keep them all in the locker room during the anthem. This is going to be a spectacle all season.

Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett sat for the national anthem during the Seahawks’ first two preseason games — something he says he’ll continue to do for the regular season — and he said that it would take a white player joining the national anthem protests to really change the conversation.

On Monday, Browns tight end Seth DeValve listened.

Okay, it makes more sense now.

He was probably in the doghouse about something.

NFL better get a handle on this before their ratings plummet more this year. No one wants to watch this shit.

Employers are within their rights to ask that an employee acts a certain way. Cut him I say.

Exactly, these players are on company time. They don't get to do whatever they want to do. Cut them and be done with it.

NFL players are extremely dumb in general and most of them don't have a clue what exactly they're even protesting for

That being said, I don't care at all if players want to kneel. Look like a fool all you want, it honestly does nothing for blacks but whatever.

Kaepernick's kneeling was whatever, but his Castro shirt and pig socks just outed him a troll which is why I'm against him in particular. Other players that are protesting I don't give a second thought to

They are protesting that asian men are being discriminated against by the NFL and never given a chance to play.

Owner Jimmy Haslam got the NAACP award for hiring great football minds like Sashi Brown and Hue Jackson. And they wonder why they are the laughing stock of the league year in year out.

The NFL has multi-year media contracts for airing and streaming games. They don't give a crap.

The only thing that will affect them is if several million viewers stop watching. Then the advertisers will complain and then ad revenue will drop with the networks. But the contracts are already in place, so the NFL won't care.

When it comes time to negotiate the new media contracts, then the league will give it some lip service, but not really do anything substantial. But that only happens if several million viewers stop watching. Not gonna happen.

They're bringing back TD celebrations this year, so that should help the ratings.

I wonder if any players will start doing politically based celebrations though?

Max Kellerman said something about no white guys sitting, or kneeling in solidarity for their teammates. Well, he got his wish. Some fringe player jumped on the opportunity. If you're on the Browns, then that's bad enough. Browns plus never being heard of, then probably a good gamble.

When Michael Bennett said the national anthem protests of certain players would only gain traction if white players were with them, he couldn’t have known it would trigger a bit of a movement of its own.

First, Eagles defensive end Chris Long put his arm around the shoulder of teammate Malcolm Jenkins, while Jenkins held his fist in the air. Then, Seahawks center Justin Britt put a hand on Bennett’s shoulder as he sat for the anthem, and Raiders quarterback Derek Carr and Khalil Mack stood with arms around each other to display their unity.

“A very emotional moment to have that kind of solidarity from someone like Justin Britt, who’s a known leader in our locker room, who’s from a different part of America than me,” Bennett said, via Sheil Kapadia of ESPN.com. “But to be able to have that solidarity and to be able to have somebody who is behind me and know that it’s someone that I really trust, and to see him put everything on the line to support one of his teammates, I thought that was a very special moment.”

Britt said Bennett’s words last week struck a chord with him, and he wanted to set an example for his children and others.

“I want to support him,” Britt said. “I want to support what he stands for and his beliefs. I’m not foolish. I’m from Missouri. I get that things are different in that area than they are in some other areas. I’m not against what the flag means and veterans. My dad was in the Army. So I’m not putting any disrespect to them. I’m just trying to understand the issues, trying to educate myself more in that regard and showing support.

“And I’m going to continue to understand what’s going on in the world and why it’s happening. Because none of it’s right. None of it’s what should be happening. I’m going to continue talking with Mike and exploring and just helping myself understand things. I wanted to take a first step tonight. And that’s what I felt like I did.”

Again the theme is, let's not ever hold black men accountable for their actions (killing each other at alarming rates, black men abandoning their children for generations).

    Let's blame everyone else.

They were praying to be traded.

I love this cause now. Kapernick felt so strongly about it, he offered not to do it anymore if someone gave him a job.

For every person interested in why they are kneeling during the anthem they lose two more who find out the reasons behind this odd choice of protest. Not the best move if you want change and not just praise from those people.

lol I'd enjoy knowing what was really going through the white guy's head. Not his BS answer he would give the public but what he was really thinking.
