DEN - QB Trevor Siemian still the favorite to start?
Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis
Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian had little trouble holding off 2016 first-round pick Paxton Lynch last season, and 9News' Mike Klis would be 'surprised' if the quarterback competition plays out the same way this season.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Reports indicate Lynch is picking up the Mike McCoy offense quickly and we think he's a much better fit for that (likely) shotgun-heavy system than he was working from under center with Gary Kubiak. Lynch has a big arm and can scramble when the play breaks down. Siemian is efficient and can work the underneath routes, but he needs to learn how/when to challenge a defense vertically. New head coach Vance Joseph says he doesn't mind if this QB competition goes all the way through training camp. He also said "decision making" would be the biggest factor in this decision...that edge right now has to go to Siemian due to his experience.

CHI - TE Zach Miller close to 100 percent
Source: NBCChicago.com - Mike Berman
Chicago Bears TE Zach Miller (foot) said Satrurday, May 20, that he is 'close to 100 percent' but plans to take it easy during OTAs.

Miller can be productive when healthy, but staying healthy has been a problem for him as a pro. We should see rookie Adam Shaheen (Ashland) push for the starting job this year. Shaheen was often referred to as "Baby Gronk" on Draft Twitter, and he is certainly a physical talent with incredible upside. Entering his age-33 season, Miller is unlikely to have much fantasy punch left.

BUF - QB Tyrod Taylor a work in progress
Source: BuffaloBills.com
Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor needs to 'trust his eyes' more and is still a work in progress when it comes to knowing when and where to throw the ball, according to offensive coordinator Rick Dennison.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Bills don't seem terribly sold on Taylor as their future at the position. The new regime kept him around in 2017 (because he restructured his deal) and they should diagnose his play under a microscope this year. Cardale Jones has a big arm, but he's raw as a decision maker. Rookie Nate Peterman will be interesting to watch to see how he develops as a pro. New GM Brandon Beane has declared this an "open competition" at quarterback, but we think it's Taylor's job...for this year at least.

BUF - RB LeSean McCoy to be busy?
Source: BuffaloBills.com - John Murphy
Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Rick Dennison said he likes 'ball possession' and believes RB LeSean McCoy, the running game and the offensive line are the strengths of the offense.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Dennison comes from the Shanahan/Kubiak coaching tree, and that is great news for fantasy owners. Already a top fantasy back anyway, McCoy should eclipse the 203 and 234 carries he's had each of the last two seasons in Buffalo. His current ADP is RB4 (1.08) in 12-team PPR leagues.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins targeting training camp
Source: The Buffalo News - Jay Skurski
Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (foot) is not expected to return to the field until training camp begins.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Watkins has a lot to prove in a contract year..to himself, the Bills and the rest of the league. The Bills didn't pick up his fifth-year option, so his future with the team beyond 2017 is uncertain. Limited to eight games in 2016 (and 13 the year before that), Watkins first needs to show that he can stay healthy and contribute for a full season. If healthy, Watkins has the ability to be one of the most dominant WRs in the league.

NYJ - QB Christian Hackenberg a bad fit?
Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini
New York Jets QB Christian Hackenberg is a bad fit for offensive coordinator John Morton's West Coast-style system, according to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com. The system is built on timing and accuracy, and Cimini spoke with an opposing scout who said he was shocked at how off target many of Hackenberg's passes were in warmups last year.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Hackenberg was not ready last year as a rookie, and that's why he didn't see the field as the Jets stumbled through Ryan Fitzpatrick and Bryce Petty at the helm. He's got a chance this year, but with veteran Josh McCown in town it seems like he'll be playing second- or third-string at best.

NFL - WR Andrew Hawkins receiving offers
Source: USA TODAY Sports - Jarrett Bell
Free-agent WR Andrew Hawkins (Browns) said he has received contract offers from four teams this offseason and is looking to sign with a contending team.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
A recent masters degree graduate at Columbia University (4.0 GPA), Hawkins should be able to find a team...and a contender...before training camp. His quickness and route-running ability from the slot could work well for a team in need of a veteran reserve at the position.

BUF - WR Andre Holmes pushing for playing time
Source: BuffaloBills.com - John Murphy
Buffalo Bills WR Andre Holmes has demonstrated smooth route running and good field awareness during OTAs, and beat writer John Murphy believes Holmes is earning himself more playing time.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Bills added Holmes and Corey Brown in free agency to compete for the spot opposite Sammy Watkins. Neither is a great fantasy option even if they win the job. The offense under Rick Dennison is unlikely to feature a second WR enough to be fantasy relevant. Emmanuel Sanders was the no2 WR in a Dennison offense that last two years and he finished no18 and no22 in fantasy points at the position respectively. Holmes or Brown aren't of Sanders caliber.
