first instinct was FALCONS +3. amazing O and very underrated D

I know that "defense wins championships" and I've used that mantra to drive my picks in title games in cfb and supervises in NFL for the last few decades. That said, there is a different feel now and I think atlanta will move the ball at will on NE. I also think their D will play exceptional vs Brady

I don't think it's an underrated DEF in ATL, I think they're rated correctly. It's a bottom 3rd DEF in the NFL. I like NE in this spot, but that offense in ATL looks damn near unstoppable. I guess I'll be making my bet based on the fact that I think NE will get a stop or two more on DEF.

Only question is, with everybody likely to be on NE, how high will the number climb for ATL by game time?

maybe teasing ATL and over not bad option

Barring major injury the line won't budge off 3.

Atl will put up 30+ and NE won't be stopped.

Dan Quinn is just as good as Belichick. Not a coincidence he leaves Seattle and the D gets exposed. It was his tactics and play calling that made the legion of boom look good and he's doing the same thing in Atlanta. I haven't placed any wagers yet but the dirty birds have my attention.

Atlanta's secondary is garbage. Been bottom 3-4 against the pass all season. No where near the talent Quinn had in Seattle. To shut Brady down, you need physical corners that can play tough man defense. Atlanta doesn't have the corners. Brady will shred zone coverage like he always does. Steelers tried zone. Malcolm Butler and co. are far more talented in the secondary. I see them slowing down Matty Ice. I'll take the proven QB, better head coach, better running game, better defense in a Super Bowl every time. This Falcons team reminds me of the Moss Vikings, greatest show on turf, Manning, Edge, Harrison Colts teams. Flashy in the regular season, tough to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

That garbage secondary sure shut down Aaron Rodgers. With a huge assist from the D line who harassed him all game and will do the same to Brady.

I didn't see the Pats secondary doing much against Ben last night. The big doofus was throwing shit balls all night long. He beat himself way more than the Pats beat him.

Cook dropped multiple passes from Rodgers. The fumble by the white fullback was a huge momentum shifter (should have been a safety). Falcons D did just enough to keep Rodgers out of a shootout. The Falcons line will have to pressure Brady. Only way they can slow the Pats down.

The Falcons will have to find a way to get to Brady and knock him down early. He still gets rattled when popped a few times.

Aaron has feet like Michael Jackson compared to old man Brady and they got very close to him all game. The Atlanta defensive line is a legitimate threat to at least hurry Brady most of the game. Guy was doing his classic frozen statue pose against the Steelers every drop back last night and that will not happen enough for him in the SB.

3 is a sold number, and it is hard to move very far from it bar a major injury.

Wasn't it 31-0 at one point?

I don't think it was a few plays away from a shootout.

Pitt had two TDs go through receivers hands though that could have made it a game.

Roethlisberger blows on the road. Jones might not go off but it isn't necessary. That offense isn't getting slowed down by the Patriots mediocre, at best, D

pats shut down jones. will sanu and gabriel beat them? no. if that fb doesn't fumble 10-7 is a lot diff than 10-0 (and the falcons scored a td too) so a 14 pt swing. that fb should have been as tight on that ball as tight as my hands on kim k's ass as i am giving 4 mins of disappointment 😆

I made no bet. Honest. It was too tough to call though I had a very slight lean to fed. It was only because I thought he was in slightly better form. It was not worth betting though

Yeah, I agree with that 100%. That took points off the board and made the missed FG even worse.

If you're using what ifs from the Packers game to judge atlanta you are making a misrake. Packers were one of the hottest teams in the league and the Falcons blew their effing doors off. Not looking at the totality of the season plus the playoffs is a huge huge mistake. Do u know that without a few unlucky plays the Texans would've beaten the pats in Foxboro in the playoffs? Ifs ifs ifs. All my buddies who talk like that are losing bettors. Trust me

I guess it's easier to speculate after the fact, but whos to say they would have scored the 6, etc.

Its hard for me to take Atlanta over The Pats brotha. But it can go either way I suppose. I took the "hot" Panthers over the Broncos and lost my ass. Just have to go with my gut.

    Best of luck man.

Hand on my heart I had denver over carolina last year. Didn't bet much. That denver D was one of the best defenses I had seen in many years in the NFL. fast, physical, disciplined. No such D like that in the super bowl This year. I also felt strongly last year that the 2 week break would really slow Cam down because they were too sky high for such a young team. It worked.

Atlanta mat or may not win, but I have to trust my football eye and I believe they'll mice the ball at will on pats D and I think their athletic D
    Will make just enough plays.

My point is, if you're using the packer game as a barometer for whether to bet pats or atlanta, then you're glossing over lots of key performance indicators that point to the Falcons as the play.

I don't feel strongly so it's a,small play on atlanta +3 for me

White jerseys are actually on a bit of a winning streak, as the team wearing white has won the last five Super Bowls and 11 of the last 12.

    Pats wearing white SB 51.

But wait and see who wins the MVP tonight. Has been kiss of death only for the favored QB for most all Super Bowls. That would trump the jersey stat.

I'm from New England. Don't confuse this "best points defense" with a Super Bowl winning D like Denver last year or Baltimore.
