The Worst Playoffs In NFL History So Far?

For NFL fans around the country the playoffs is supposed to be the fruits reaped from the labor of a 16-game NFL season. It’s a grind, even for Patriots fans I’d imagine, and we’re supposed to be rewarded with the best of the best going head-to-head for 60 minutes, with constant, heart-wrenching drama and lead changes and plays we’ll tell stories about for generations to come.

But the two blowouts in the conference championship round may have sealed the deal; this postseason might have been the worst one we’ve ever seen… at least in quite a while.

So, uh, what happened in 2017?

no ntimidating defenses that can win games fully on their own a la ravens 2000 or broncos last year or vintage seahawks. teams are scoring to win and defense does enough to not let the other team score more.

Agree. Why books make line so low when they know everyone and their mother on NE is beyond me.

Nickle and Dime players are all on New England, but the big money players are on Atlanta. This is why Green Bay took nearly 60% of the action from Joe Pub but Atlanta had much more money on them than the Pack did. The line went from 4 to 6. Just another example of Joe Pub getting whipped.

Because they know that if they add the hook the sharps are going to smash Atlanta.

Read the Vegas trade papers. Even Fox ran a piece on that. You guys know little or nothing about wagering. I keep telling you that it is the amount wagered that counts, NOT the number of people who wager on a particular team. Vegas still comes out a loser yesterday because the majority of the money was on Atlanta and the Pats, and the easiest wager of any playoff game also hit. Atlanta-GB Over the total. If you did not wager on that, you are just bad gamblers.

I just assumed you were holding everyone's hand in the sportsbook area in Vegas... asking everyone who they were on... and then taking a survey.

You always belittle every poster on their opinion. Yet, the info you come up with seemingly comes from your a-hole.

Well look at this way. For many years the Superbowl was a dud show. Now we have to wait until the Superbowl to get a good game. The 1982-1999 Superbowl games were pretty awful except 2-3.

Yeah, the NFL playoffs have been awful. This is the first year in memory that I haven't watched every game from start to finish. Just takes the fun out of it when the games are essentially over by the half.

My gut feeling says this is going to come down to the last possession.... maybe I'll be daring and take plus seven and a half both ways

Again, it is not my problem if you cannot figure things out for yourself and have to depend on everything you read. If you have any money at all, and any people skills at all, this is simple. I told everyone in here numerous times last week that the best play of the entire season was Green Bay-Atlanta over. It hit. I am not going to spoon feed you people any longer. You are on your own.
