    In a cruel, ironic twist for the NFL's pre-eminent loser, the firing comes three days before he was set to pass Dan Reeves for the most coaching losses in league history. Fisher is so inept he can't even claim the record that's been his destiny for over a decade. The firing is perhaps the most justified of the modern era. Fisher has had five years to turn around a laughingstock franchise, but instead made it an even bigger joke. Fisher's team had truly made zero progress on his first year in 2012. A wanton waster of draft picks and capital, Fisher is clueless on Sundays, fundamentally misunderstanding offense and overseeing a cavalcade of idiotic penalties. Fisher doesn't make adjustments, aside from usually dialing up more personal fouls in the second half. Try as he may, he never came close to "cleaning up" his chronic, myriad, inexcusable mistakes.     That's a BS excuse, same one the Ryan family used. Fisher doesn't know how to get or develop a qb. He puts all of his money into the defense, now he's stuck with the Case Keenan's of the world.

    whoever decided to draft goff number 1 and give up all those picks should be fired, and whoever decided to hire chris weinke to develop the qb should be gone, rams have missed out on alot draft picks lately, 2014 greg robinson number 2 could had khalil mack, can u imagine donald and mack together be scary, or could had mike evans or beckham jr,

    You know how many QBs were free agents over the past 25 years Fisher could have signed? You know how many QBs he could have traded for over those years?

    Guy is an awful awful coach. His offense is maybe the worst offense in history of football. The guy thinks his defense will win games 6-3. What a complete idiot this guy is. This isn't 1952. You have to score points to win.

    Saints general manager Mickey Loomis "would be open" to trading Payton to the Rams, The Times-Picayune reported, adding that the coach and GM met for about an hour after Sunday's season-ending loss to the Falcons.

    It's unclear what the Saints might need in return from the Rams to make a deal. But the opportunity to be out from under Payton's new contract, which pays him an average of $9 million a year, would seem likely to keep the price reasonable for the Rams.

    I think given the current makeup of the team, Josh McDaniels makes the most sense but Payton would be legit and command the locker room immediately. I wonder if Gregg Williams would stay on if Payton came? That would be pretty classic.
