Everyone was clowning this kid but 3 years in he goes toe to toe in the Superbowl with Brady and Belichick for 3.5 quarters without the best RB in football. The loss sucks but the future is still promising.

Now what are we betting on? I am headed to Vefas on Tuesday and need a play.

Toe to toe? With all due respect Jake this game at 3-0 and even 3-3 you never felt the rams had any shot to win. Missed a read on a guy wide open across the middle to throw a ball into double coverage. Doesn’t pick up a blitz and throws a horrible INT. Belichick completely out coaches McVay. I don’t see this team recovering for years. Good luck selling season tickets in that new stadium after that performance

Exactly. Go back and look at Goffs eyes during the national anthem. He looked like he was lost on another planet. And his hand was shaking like a crack addic.

And thats why the line flipped right away after la opened as a fave. Everybody knew this game was too big for goff, mcvay etc.

You think mcvay will grow a set of balls now and finally tell everyone that Gurley was hurt

LA Rams officially exercise fifth-year option on QB Jared Goff’s contract, per the head coach himself.

One could argue he’s barely top 10 after throwing in a few other names in there.

Not sure how you can throw in win loss records unless you’re saying Goff’s the only reason the Rams had the record they did. If that’s the case then Foles is a top 5 QB as well.

I get the Enthusiasm though. You can’t think you’re #1 pick in the draft is a bust.

Goff is nothing special. He is a serviceable starter in right system. McVay’s schemes and Gurley allow him to have a ton of easy throws. Not a lot of pocket awareness for a top tier qb.

Look at what's happening in Minnesota. Cousins takes up so much cap space that they can't even sign their TE. This is why Brady is the man - he's smart enough to know that he can't do it alone.

Goff might wake up and realize that he wants to be here and takes a hometown deal though. We'll see.

I just put some money on Goff for MVP this year. +4500 is a steal.

rams coach is too smart to give him too much money and he knows he can bring in a decent enough qb in their system and still be successful if goff insists on too huge a contract then he wont be with the rams

    oh boy

The Los Angeles Rams and quarterback Jared Goff agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension, the team announced on Tuesday via Twitter.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Goff’s new contract totals $134 million and a record $110 million guaranteed, which is the most money ever guaranteed to a player in a single contract.
The thing I like about this is that it wasn't a distraction in the media, they just got the deal done. Whether it''s a good one or not remains to be seen, but the Rams are definitely going about their business in a very business-like manner.

Good for Goff getting paid but Rams aren’t winning a Sb with him at qb. Average at best and once his contract kicks in and eats up 20-25% of cap, Rams will be bottom feeders.

Rams will regret this deal unless it is front loaded where they can cut bait in a few years without a huge cap hit.

Cousins doesn't care about winning- was only in it for the biggest payday to set him and his family up for the future. He outright said such.

Goff is still weak, he can’t win without a running game, watch what happened in the super bowl against the patriots. Take away the running game and add some pressure, he’s the same overrated quarterback who got exposed in the super bowl. The rams are a running team that can only pass consistently off play action, their offense will get exposed eventually.

The big difference with the Rams is their young offensive line is much better this year and they can run the ball.
