Might have saved my fantasy season. To think I was kicking myself for leaving Cousins on the bench earlier this morning...

Yes. Each completion is .20 points and every Passing yard is .05 points.

1 point bonus for 200 yards, 2 point bonus for 300 yards, 3 point bonus for 400 yards, 4 point bonus for 500 yards, and a 10 point bonus for breaking the record of 554 yards. TDs are also worth 6 or more depending on distance(30-49 2pt bonus 50-89 3pt bonus 90+ 4pt bonus)

This guy Derek Carr turned out to be the best QB of the 2014 Draft by a mile and he was a 2nd rounder #36 overall. How could 25 to 28 teams be so stupid? These NFL personnel people get paid millions to find real talent yet Johnny diknead manZelda was drafted way ahead of Derek Carr??Cleveland Browns are just dumb. Fire the circus and hire real nfl people.

Quarterback position seems to be a total crapshoot. No one ever knows who's going to be any good.

Jared Goff might not ever play a game. Or he might turn into Joe Montana. Who the hell knows?

During Oakland's 30-24 overtime win over the Buccaneers, Carr threw for 513 yards and four touchdowns. Carr's passing total smashed the previous franchise record of 427 yards set by Cotton Davidson in 1964.

Besides breaking the franchise record, Carr also joined a very exclusive club when he hit Seth Roberts with a 41-yard touchdown pass to win the game in overtime. The pass put Carr at 513 yards and four touchdown passes. Combine that with the fact that he threw zero interceptions, and you have a performance that has only been done by two other people in NFL history: Y.A. Tittle (1962) and Ben Roethlisberger (2014).

The Raiders are close to finalizing a deal with Derek Carr that will pay the quarterback $25 million per year, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Per Schefter, the sides still are finalizing language, but the record deal could be announced by the end of the week.

Reports earlier this month indicated Carr was on his way to becoming the first quarterback to make $25 million annually, and it appears that day is closer than ever. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has an average annual paycheck of $24.594 million per season, currently the highest. Carson Palmer and Drew Brees also make more than $24 million per season.

Carr, who is scheduled to make $977,519 in base salary in 2017, has insisted he wanted to complete a deal before training camp to avoid distractions.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports Derek Carr's extension is a five-year contract.
Carr is expected to land $25 million annually. He'll make $69 million over the first three years. The Raiders are still working out the language, but are expected to finalize a deal soon. Jun 21 - 7:36 PM

David Carr got a bum deal with a Texans offense that was God awful. The kid was shell shocked from the start and never had a chance. He might have been better than his brother but we'll never know. At least they both made a lot of money.

There were reports earlier this week that the Raiders don’t have the cap room to extend defensive end Khalil Mack until next offseason. However, Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com questions those claims. The writer cites the NFLPA’s website, which lists the organization’s current cap room at $32.8MM. Even if that number reflected the team’s financial situation before the Derek Carr and Gabe Jackson extensions, Florio is still convinced that the team could have easily fit all three extensions. In the event that it wasn’t financially feasible, the writer notes that the Raiders could simply restructure the contracts for Kelechi Osemele and Bruce Irvin, which would have presumably opened enough space. As a result, Florio doesn’t believe it’s an issue of whether the Raiders can sign Mack right now; rather, Florio believes the issue revolves around whether the organization wants to extend Mack at all.

Stud quarterback and maybe my favorite in the game today.. How's the leg break doing? That's the question, is he back and doing reps in practice?.. His wheels are important to his game.. Mobil quarterback..
