    OT question

Couple of OT games this week, with one ending with a tie.

I had SD+7 goin into OT.

Was that an automatic ATS win?

Yes. The most points that can be scored by one team in the NFL version of OT is 6.

Are you sure a team can't score 9 points in overtime?

If Falcons get the ball first and get a field goal then on defense get return for touchdown you could win by 9.

Wrong. I'm pretty sure in that case as soon as the turnover occurs, the game is over. Much like an in the park double with the bases juiced... only one run counts in that case

Id rather you just say you don't know than ramble on with this rhetoric.

I agree with posters who say: "no, you can still lose goin into OT being up by 7"

As OT started, I said to myself "I've got 7, what could go wrong?"

Because as bettors we know that whatever can go wrong, will.

    Scenerio:

ATL wins coin flip, gets the ball and kicks a field goal.

SD driving throws a sideline pass that's turns into a pick-6.

Having 7 in OT would have lost.

It didn't happen, but as a pessimist I thought it probably would.

Thanks for the input fellas.....GL for tonite if ya bet the game!

Can't believe how many of you didn't realize a team could win by nine in overtime. Interesting.
