Is Scoring Up in NFL because touchbacks start at 25 yard line now?

Astronomical scores in first week. Highest scoring opening week in the history of NFL.

it certainly doesn't translate into less scoring. 5 less yards to gain on each drive to get into scoring zones can't make it more difficult to score points. bet overs until the books catch on.

Nope. More passing and poor tackling is the reason

Never seen so many games over 50 points on first week. 25 yard line starts is a huge factor. Books are asleep.

Lol. Only 6 of 15 games had more than 45 points. After tonight's late game that will be 6 of 16. Scoring is going down.

they announced during the games the increase of scoring goes up 1% per yard from the 20 yard line -- by moving touchbacks to the 25 essentially the chances of scoring are 5% higher........ this was either during the chargers/chiefs or the new england game

no it makes no difference, if it goes 3 and out or a turnover the other team gets worse field position

This will Help Colts win key games this season 25yds on Touchback. Think about the impact of a 15yd Pass interference penalty on a 1st down attempt. Any game the NFL/Vegas wants to swing favor in the Underdog this two rulings are huge. Now Think about Denver/Colts game Talib shot in the leg, D.Thomas has a bad hip (For my Conspiracy Theorist) if Colts win on the road here they can Win the Superbowl no doubt. Sub 4.4-4.5 guys at all 3 wide rec. positions

    Pass Interference

    • There shall be no interference with a forward pass thrown from behind the line. ...
    • The penalty for defensive pass interference is an automatic first down at the spot of the foul. ...
    • The penalty for offensive pass interference is 10 yards from the previous spot
