For college football I have found offensive and defensive yards per point (YPPT) to be helpful. They are a measure of offensive and defensive scoring efficiency. I don't find it to be as helpful for the NFL, but I don't do a whole lot of NFL stuff.

These rules make me profit betting NFL:
    1. An NFL team that plays dominate at home plays completely different when playing an away game.
    2. Betting on NFL futures during the off season is profitable than betting on NFL regular season.
    3. Pay attention to key numbers: +3 field goal, +7 touchdown. Useful on betting teasers.
