99.9% sure Peyton coming back next season because

if he can play like absolute shit & still win a Super Bowl it would be a no brainer to try & one up his li'l bro before retiring. Phillips made Bubiak look like an absolute genius this season simply hiring him as the coordinator

He can't make it through 16 games, let alone 18. He is done. Every doctor has told him to quit. Guy can't tie his own shoes, one bad slide or tackle away from a life changing injury. He had the worst Super Bowl performance in the history of the game. He was lucky to win.

Denvers gotta be the fav to win it next year, especially with Brock

If I was Pryton, Id tell Elway Im 100% coming back. Let Elway offer me $10,000,000 or so to retire and stay the fukk away from the field

Peyton had such a good game, with def help, that after he sucks down his buds he may come back next year despite his doctor's warnings.. Totally surprised me how good Denver did with their box in def. Cam couldn't run or pass.

He's white, smart, humble, and doesn't need the money. He will not be back. He is one of the 15% who will leave the league with money and have a life after football. He will now go on and make lots of money in endorsements. He is an exception......not the norm.

Who is the guy saying they can win another with Brock? He is equal to Hoyer, Fitzpatrick and Cousins.

Dead wrong he's done and Elway ready to move on as well. I would be truly shocked if he comes back for a # of reasons. And there is zero chance he would assume a backup role as JJ implied that's really moronic.

Manning retires as a legend and a super bowl winner.
Manning will be a head coach one day.

Let's break down the reasons he won't play

    1. Guy is old obviously , arm shot, health in general

    2. Elway and Broncos have to be ready for next chapter knowing this season had nothing to do with Peyton being good and you must find someone capable for next few years with that defense.

    3. Hgh investigation likely to resume hard to say if dipshit Goodell would fork over the dough to another idiot investigator privately after the Brady debacle but this is not gonna go away.

    4. If Denver does not want him back he's got 1 possible option being Houston. If everyone can recall his last court ship he stated nfc is not really an option. So when looking at possible afc suitors the Texans only realistic possibility. They have the defense , young stud receiver, weak division, no legit qb ,climate suited for his dead arm playing in domes and mostly good weather in that div.

    5. Seriously though he won a SB despite how terrible he is why would he not want this to be the final chapter and save himself any future embarrassment?

I agree with 5. (and think he retires as well), but honestly, I don't know what I would do. If I could get some ok money to play 1 or 2 years more and I still like the game.... Why not? Sure he is rich, sure he doesn't need any more money, but still. As far as future embarrassment goes: this season was extremely embarrassing - and he won. So honestly, he could play one season more like total shit, I don't think that would be what people will remember in 20 years, not at all.

    No fukkin chance

Get your head out of your ass

Peyton is done - he didn't want to announce yesterday and steal the spotlight away from his team - but he is going to retire from playing, maybe he'll get into GM or ownership though.

    He won't return.
But even if he did: not playing for Broncos anyway I guess, so this fantastic D is gone for him anyway.

    This.

Less than zero reasons for coming back, he's got more money than God, one more hit and he won't even know his own name.

Money can be a reason for guys to play longer than they should - it doesn't have to be though. Some just can't let go. Missing the locker room, missing the sport, missing being a member of a team, etc.
Again, I think he is done for sure. But we have often seen guys playing longer than they should have. PM being one of them, but he was on the right team this year so it paid off and won't be mentioned again.

Manning is about as valuable to the Broncos as Bob Griese was to the Dolphins.

And he just extended an olive branch to Budweiser last night for even more revenue stream lol. I give him more like a 5% chance of returning and if Elway shows him the door with a thank you it lowers to probably .05% is reality

Elway is a SoB, he is the equivalent to George Brett, another SoB.
It was Elway who put together that defense though. unlike Brett, where Dayton Moore put together most of that Royal team.
I don't think Elway and Manning really like each other.

ZERO CHANCE Peyton returns. he made his mind up about a loooonnngg time ago.

if he knew that it was too selfish to announce at the Superbowl..
then he certainly knows not to come back.

He can only throw wobbly balls now. and next year would be worse.
Everybody can see the difference. IF he were 24 yrs. old.
he could not start on any team with that arm as it is presently.

if Peyton comes back, he would not finish season.. so why bother?

Peyton said he wants advice from his former head coach who he respects a lot Tony Dungy.
Tony Dungy will most likely tell him to retire. We all know this is the only smart move.

He's not coming back. It's a miracle he got away with this season. He's not stupid enough to press his luck. Literally no reason to come back. He doesn't need the money. Doesn't need the physical punishment. Already goes out a winner. And while his not making an emotional decision is an appropriate stance, you could hear in his voice the answer. 100% not coming back.

Why come back, he was more of a game manager behind a great defense this year, best just go out in style.
