Sorry Sea. Just thought it odd he didn't go out on his terms. Wondering if he'd take another HC position.

Team was probably a playoff team, but gave away too many games early. I would have fired him after the Saints loss. 7 TD's was just embarrasing.

Guy wins 2 Superbowls as a huge underdog and gets canned. Giants are idiots.

I laugh at people who call Coughlin a shit coach.
Yes, he (like all other coaches) made some head scratching calls, but at the end of the day he was an 8 and 3 playoff coach with 2 Super Bowl rings. Meanwhile a piece of shit like Jeff Fisher keeps his job who hasn't had a winning record in seven years.

Sean Payton wants the job and the Giants ideally want him too, but they don't want to give up the 2nd rounder. Payton could try using the 49ers as leverage since they're willing to give up the pick, but the Giants may call his bluff in that case and dare him to sign a contract with that horrific team.

McAdoo is a decent backup plan for the Giants, though Hue Jackson is a better overall candidate between the two.

Yep, I would have kept Coughlin. The problem is the runningbacks, receivers and secondary. They just needed to draft and trade to get that fixed. The HC have no control over bad players.

How about luring David Shaw out of NCAA into the big time.
You offer Shaw the right amount of cash, he can be had.

I wonder what the salary is that he makes with CBS minus the stress level.... compared to what he could get being a head coach?

What would it take for a former head coach... to become a coach again? Has to be a $ amount.

A shit load of money, people don't understand the HC's in the NFL work 15 hour days, 6 days a week.
Coughlin got up at 5:30 am, was in his office at 6 and didn't wrap up until 8 or 9 pm.

Shaw continues to state numerous times per year that Stanford is his dream job. he's really entrenched with the university and badly wants to win a title there.
