Someone make a compelling argument for the Texans

I feel like Colts -1 is free money here. And of course any time I think that, I'm probably wrong. I'm open to being wrong, but I don't see where I'm wrong.

Potentially decent running game is about the only plus I see for them on offense, and even that includes a slightly injured and therefore probably limited Foster. However, the Colts already know to focus solely on the running game because Mallett is horrible. Can't hit the side of a barn and incapable of deciding which is the correct barn to throw to. Just like Atlanta did last week, make Mallett beat you. Oh and Mallett is playing through an injury of his own.

Meanwhile Luck is back and presumably healthy. Obviously there are question marks here but even a limited Luck should be good enough. I know the o line is a turnstile, but Houston's defense is also incredibly overrated in my opinion. They couldn't stop the run last week to save their lives, and Matt Ryan picked them apart.

Hell, Houston's one victory this year was a home win over Tampa in a game that the Tampa kicker missed THREE field goals and an extra point. That's ten points he personally took off the board. Houston won that game by ten points.

My legitimate fear here is that Houston is down at the half 10-0 or something manageable and switched to Hoyer, who is capable of sustaining drives and isn't afraid to throw the ball downfield.

I don't see Luck tossing multiple picks here either. I'm confused. Help.

Luck and Hasslebeck both questionable. They resigned their third string QB.

Deandre Hopkins is a beast and always a threat to go off.

I thought Luck was still dealing with a shoulder separation? JJ Watt smells blood and might tear off the other shoulder?

Not very confident in the Colts personally. I'd hate betting on either team right now LOL.

I spent a lot of time on this. Not seeing it. Honestly, they pale in comparison to the Colts' timeless horseshoe.

Houston wins this in my opinion. Houston has a confusion at the QB position but mallett & hoyer can kinda ish sorta do somethin significant here. don't underestimate foster cause of last game in ATL, it was his first game back and just needs to get a feel. & you already know about deandre Hopkins.. he is a man amongst boys, don't matter whos guardin him. hes gonna shine.

So, no compelling arguments. Yet everyone is on Houston or nothing. Interesting.

    Any Indy backers out there?

Obviously any bets being finalized are contingent upon making sure Luck is starting, but I'd bet a fair amount of money right now that he'll be the quarterback on Thursday. I'll even go as far as to say he could have played last Sunday, but they let him rest because it's just the Jags. They signed the third string again because Hasslebeck is now sick and you've always gotta have a backup qb. Not a red flag. They let the third stringer go earlier, prior to Hasslebeck's illness. That's a sure sign Luck will be playing.

I still don't see anyone on the Colts. This is peculiar.

If Luck could have played Sunday, he would have played Sunday. Something is going on. Wake up.

I mean could have. As in, if it were a playoff game he would have played. They were resting him for the short rest Thursday game.

That's what the media is trying to sell. Vegas says something else. Check the line movement.

Houston's offense has been so bad this year that I don't think that you can.

Horrid Colts line going up against Watt and Clowney. Think they are in big trouble unless they pound the rock. That's not the Colts. Injured Luck or 40 year old Hasselbeck? Whomever starts this game may not finish.

Hopkins gets his money despite the poor qb play. I feel that Foster and Hopkins come alive here in front of their home crowd and make some big plays. Defense will get the momentum going in the right direction.

The Texans always find a way to lose to the Colts. Remember that Monday night game 2 years ago. Texans blew a 21-3 lead.

I was on board with skipping this game, but with the news that Luck is out and Davis is questionable, I do like the Texans in this spot. Both teams have been really shitty; the colts have been shittier, imo. The Texans have talent on defense and I feel Arian Foster will have a full load tonight and have a good game. I just look at what this Colts team did at home against the Jags. They should've lost and put up 13 points on Jacksonville. Not a huge play, but I do like Texans -4.5 from my local book.
