    TNF Ravens/Steelers

The Ravens opened as 2.5-pt favorite in this contest.

I have seen 2 interesting points:

    • Steelers lost his last TNF at home in 1995
    • Ravens never won a TNF

The Ravens are a good team but with some holes in key positions (backfield, Ngata's departure haven't been correctly filled, secondary). They are now 0-3 with 3 tough, close and painful defeats.

With Cincy 3-0, and Steelers 2-1 his playoffs chances right now are remote.

So this is a win or go home for them but I see the Steelers a step over the Ravens (even knowing how the Ravens are in this type of games), and of course, they play at home (15-8 against BAL in the last 23).

What's your opinion about this game?

This is the result I obtained in the DB

    Nov 30, 2006 Thursday 13 2006 Ravens Bengals away 0-0 0-6 0-7 7-0 7-13 3.0 43.5 -6 -3.0 -23.5 -13.2 -10.2 L L U 0
    Nov 11, 2010 Thursday 10 2010 Ravens Falcons away 0-0 0-10 7-3 14-13 21-26 1.0 43.5 -5 -4.0 3.5 -0.2 3.8 L L O 0
    Sep 05, 2013 Thursday 1 2013 Ravens Broncos away 7-0 10-14 0-21 10-14 27-49 8.0 49.0 -22 -14.0 27.0 6.5 20.5 L L O 0

Also, I've seen that Vick has not been intercepted in his last 9 home games. I must check that.

Anyway, the Steelers still have Bell and Brown. They are going to destroy Raven's defense.

Looking at the trends above, it looks like the Ravens and Steelers will both lose somehow.

I don't like trends as "Team X is 23-1 ATS at home against a Team that comes off a loss scoring less than 20 points, rushing more than 15 times, playing in grass at night, and the HC suits a hat".

But simple trends are very representative in my opinion. For the players is not the same to play on sunday at 1 PM or play on primetime.
