Vikes should get 8 wins no problem and contend for a wild card. I nabbed o7.5 at -165. Bookmaker currently at -200.

All road games. If they win 2 it'd be a miracle. Plus they have GB twice, vs Seattle, @ DEN, vs KC, @ Zona.

The key to the Vikings is winning some games on the road. Get the Metrodome disease out of their bodies!

AP took a worse Vikings team than this to the playoffs once, he can do it again. AP is the key.

I have them at 6-10. AP old and slow, inexperienced QB and no receivers to throw to. Defense one of the worst in the league.

Books are overjuicing. Vikes 7-9. I thought over for awhile but regression looks like it. Zimmer won't do as well this year. The nfl is a league where people figure out things fast.

10-6 and a playoff berth because you're all sleeping on the defense Zimmer is building

You and many people. In my book, the over7.5 wins is -250.

It's an interesting line. Like Canuck stated, Minnesota has a tough schedule. But most people, not only people in this thread but the talking heads on ESPN and where ever, feel the Vikes are a playoff team.

Personally I am going under. I feel that the MAX wins is 8, and any Viking fuk-up will make it a 7 win season. That said, I have been wrong the last two season of O/U Vikings wins.

    Lions coin flip

Charges or Lions, Vikes are losing at least one.

    Rams, flip.

    Think they beat the Raiders.

    Can't beat Seattle.

    Giants could win.

Too many coin flips to win IMO.

I know - they have been so bad on the road for so long and I have blamed it on the Metrodome turf. It is like playing two different styles and they have never been able to do it. Even when they were bad they could still win at home. My hope is playing outside toughens them up but then the powers that be thought the way to go was back to an indoor facility. Let's make a list of the dome teams that have won the Super Bowl? Then let's review the road records of dome teams????

Oh, btw - I would rather be in a stadium with fans who are bundled up to the max and freezing their butt off than a panzy fan who is complaining about the beer being warm!

OFFENSE: OC Norv Turner can now build this offense around the power running game of Adrian Peterson in a scheme that skews toward a lot of gapblocking and banging between the tackles. Turner’s offense takes downfield shots off play-action. WR Charles Johnson emerged as QB Teddy Bridgewater’s favorite target in the second half of last season. New WR Mike Wallace gives them another field stretcher to open things up for TE Kyle Rudolph.

DEFENSE: Although the Vikings were one of only eight teams with fewer than 20 takeaways in 2014, they did show an ability to get to the quarterback with 41 sacks (T-9th in NFL). That helped the club post the league’s No. 7 passing defense (223 YPG). In addition to defensive stars FS Harrison Smith and WLB Chad Greenway, Minnesota has promising young talent in SLB Anthony Barr, CB Xavier Rhodes and rookies MLB Eric Kendricks and CB Trae Waynes.

BOTTOM LINE: Don’t get suckered into the huge plus-money Under bet, as the Vikings should have no problem finishing .500 or better with AdrianPeterson back and Teddy Bridgewater’s progression. They were 7-9 last year and made enough off-season additions to expect 10 victories. OVER 7.5

BTW, the list of Super Bowl winners from a Dome for their home field is a very short list! 1999 Rams. Dome teams are all build for speed - finesse - they get beat outside by physical type teams.

The absolute best way to kill your teams chances to win a Super Bowl is to build a dome. Sure - you can sell tickets but it is the KOD to build a championship team with a dome for your albatross!

The owners know this but nobody talks about it because most fans are not tough enough to sit in the cold. The reason the Vikes won back in the day was because they could handle the cold when they had the home field advantage in the NFC championships - then the Super Bowl - that wasn't a factor.

How about 2006 Colts or 2009 Saints? Remember there's only 4 dome teams right now: Lions, Falcons, Rams, Saints.

The Vikes will be back inside next year - Just last year and this year in the Gophers stadium which means jack squat - not enough time - they still play like a dome team. Maybe, they will play a little better on the road this year after last year's seasoning outside on the grass. The point is - they just have not been conditioned to be a good "grass" team since they left the Met.

The Vikings owners have been much more interested in making money than winning a Super Bowl.

Ask Green Bay, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, New England, etc. if they would EVER build a dome???? How about Met Life stadium - why didn't they put a dome there?
