Police say he's not a suspect in this pregnant woman's shooting death, yet they want to talk to him. And NFL teams want to know if the baby is his. Her baby was delivered after her death and is still alive.

Meanwhile, he's already hired a lawyer and his own PI to prove he wasn't near her apartment when she was murdered. Yet he's not a suspect? This is either very irresponsible journalism or something stinks.

If he's not the father, he needs to immediately say so. It's really the only motive cops could have for his potential involvement in her death. And the NFL knows that too.

already said that, yet the police still want to talk to him. and Hernandez wasn't initially listed as a suspect either, so you can't put too much stock into that.

fact is, this is a woman who he was involved with and it might be his baby. that causes great concern for any NFL franchise.. think Rae Carruth scenario.

there is zero chance he will be drafted if he turns out to be the father, just way too much risk there. and if he and his agent think an NFL franchise will let that question go answered until after the draft, they're kidding themselves.

i'm not saying he's guilty, but the story's out there so it's too late. he needs to handle this on the police's timeline now, otherwise the draft will pass him by.

he's left the draft to talk to the police back home, which is the smartest thing he can do at this point.

if it can be quickly proven that he has a solid alibi at the time of her shooting and that he's not the father of the kid, he should be ok. but if he's the father (which the police need to know and the NFL would prefer to know), it could make things quite sticky.

if you read between the lines, the suspicion seems to be that he's the father. not only has no one claimed the baby as their own yet, but if Collins knew he wasn't the father, you have to think his agent/lawyer would've already said so. instead, the only thing that's been said is that he has an alibi at the time of her murder.

of course even if he is the father, that wouldn't necessarily implicate him in any way, but at the bare minimum it would tarnish his reputation.

NFL.com states the last contact he had with the woman was back in September. that's 7 months ago and she was almost 9 months pregnant when killed, so we'll see..

he left the draft yesterday, but still has not contacted the authorities a/o this morning. how does that make sense? what was the point in leaving then? and now they're saying he won't meet with the police until after the draft? wtf?

The NFL is a business....management would be scared to invest so much $$ in a round 1 pick who they might not get to see the field this season or his focus would be elsewhere. Also the optics in the wake of Ray Rice and others...who would want the added attention of being the team who picked the guy even remotely involved in the murder of a pregnant woman. He'll definitely play in the league but not as a 1st round pick to his name.
