Russell Wilson already a Hall of Famer if....

If he beats Rodgers in the NFC Championship game, and then Brady in the Superbowl. It would be hard to argue even if he has 4-5 average seasons the rest of his career. He will probably be the first HOF that is not in the top 10 of any category in the All-time passing list, but will have a decent winning record.

Since all we do is argue about rings and completely disregard the regular season, I don't see why he won't get in.

The Seahawks are similar to the Ravens on defense when they won the Super Bowl in 2013.
    It's defense that wins championships.
Flacco defeated both Manning and Brady during that playoff run.
Both Wilson and Flacco have similar teams.

Yeah nobody cares about that. Rotheileberger had an absolutely anemic game in his first superbowl, but the only thing they will remember is he's 2-1 in the Superbowl. Wilson has an unique opportunity to be in the same class as Montana, Elway, Bradshaw, and Aikman with B2B Championships.

Winning super bowls is a team effort which is why I brought up defense and the fact that Eli Manning won more super bowls than Peyton Manning is because Eli had the better overall team in his career than Peyton did in his career.
Team work is a stronger factor than the quarterback factor alone.
Nobody cares about this argument that's when they say Eli is better Peyton. Which is wrong.
Everyone should care because team work is critical.

I hope Wilson does win back to back championships.
He would be in a very unique situation, no question be in the HOF.

Wilson has a great overall team on offense, defense and special teams to possibly win 3 super bowls in a row.

He still has to beat GB first. I know Rodgers beat up. But this will not be a walk in the park.

I know. This thread topic should be discussed during or after the super bowl.
Seahawks are most likely to defeat the Packers but we shall see.

he is there because of his defense

he is still a poor pocket passer imo, most of his plays are scrambles

Because he's not your typical pocket passer, he's a mobile QB and he employs his tactics accordingly. When he decides to play in the pocket, off linemen have to adjust by ducking and he must go way back, so he can have better vision to find a receiver. He's 5 feet 11 inches tall. It's really Drew Brees, who is an exception among smaller QBs.
You can't deny Wilson's abilities by saying 'he's there because of his defense'. That is partially true, but the guy had 849 yards in rushing and 3475 yards in passing this regular season. Whether you like it or not, Wilson is an amazing QB.

RW wins #2 this year, then wins $100M contract. Then SEA won't be able to hold that D together due to cap issues.

Third down passing last week: 8 for 8, 199 yds and 3 tds. So much for that theory.

Against a solid CAR defense that was peaking, no less. I'm more and more impressed with RW every time I watch him.

If he wins this year he's already a Hall of Famer

If not he might have to win one more because of statistics would not be that great

Stats can always improve guys he's still very green. Actually reminds me of Brady a bit when he was young in ways. More mobile obviously but is just smart, plays with intensity , and has the clutch factor. Brady was pretty much a "game manager" early who was not putting up crazy #'s early on. Hags also focus on run more and don't exactly have an arsenal of talent in pass gm. Too bad Harvin is a nut job but give him another year or so and have somebody step up and emerge in pass gm he's comfortable with and the #'s should come.

I also am amazed when i watch him play, im not old enough to have seen fran tarkenton play live, but the style is very similar looking to me. I think when its all said and done he will be one of the greatest to have ever played.

No shot. Next year he becomes the highest paid QB in the league, and you will see the dismantling of the LOB.

Over priced yes, garbage far from it. And I use a ton of over the head headphone through the years when I'm jogging, this is easily the best. If your an old ugly grumpy guy that don't care for the full music experience then yes it's garbage.

what cool rap icon is behind bose? And the culutural extravagance and high end designer label logic has been going on for as long as I can remember early 80s is what it is ...like asking why Asians like high end or designer things a very status symbol driven culture.
