looking for angles in playoff setups again.

    Sunday 1:00 games:
Jets/Miami - Rex's last game. Geno Smith motivated. But Miami at home. edge: Jets.
Buffalo/NE - nothing. stats, streaks motivation edge for NE. edge: NE.
Jax/Hou - Hou in with win AND KC loss AND Balt loss. edge: Hou.
Chi/Min - nothing. small motivation edge to Min. edge: Min
NO/Tam - nothing. small motivation edge to Tam. edge: Tam.
Ind/Ten - nothing. Ind more likely than Ten to rest starters. edge: Ten.
Cle/Bal - Bal in with win AND SD loss. edge: Bal.
SD/KC - SD in with win. KC in with win Hou loss AND Bal loss. edge: SD.
Dal/Was - Dal playing for bye chance but still unlikely. edge: Dal.
Phi/NYG - nothing. but Giants in better form. Coughlin job. edge: NYG.

    Sunday 4:25 games:
Ari/SF - Ari playing for seeding but very complicated. New backup qb.
Will likely be a terrible spot to take Ari. SF still a proud team ? edge: SF
Det/GB - winner gets a bye. no edge.
Car/Atl - winner takes NFC South and is in. no edge.
Den/Oak - Den win gets bye, loss gets bye if Pit wins. edge: Den

    Sunday night:
Cin/Pit - winner gets home field for wild-card round. no edge.
one caveat, if Den loses to Oak, Cin playing for bye, but not Pit.
still no edge because Pit will be playing for home field in wild-card.

    edge game spreads:
    Jets +6 (cheap)
NE - pending, early -10.5/11 (expensive)
    Hou -9.5 (expensive)
    Min -6 (reasonable)
    Tam +4 (cheap)
    Ten +7 (cheap)
    Bal -9/9.5 (expensive)
    SD +2.5/3 (reasonable)
    Dal -6 (expensive)
    NYG -2.5/3 (reasonable)
    SF -6 (reasonable)
    Den (line completely off)

games with no edge other than venue:
    GB -7.5 (expensive)
    Atl -3.5/4 (reasonable)
    Pit -3 (reasonable)

Have to love Pitt at home, 3 game winning streak including a 3 touchdown W in Cincy just 3 weeks ago. Bengals didn't win last night because of Dalton, they won in spite of him. Steelers run D is coming on and this team is built for January.

the Patriots line has fallen to -5. (-235). Although we can count on Belichick to sit
starters, especially in the second half, and sit a handful of them all game, they are
coming off a poor offensive performance that Brady wants to correct. The perfect
script for this game is a commanding 21-ish point lead at the halftime, then cruise
the second half allowing the backups to hold the lead. Although I wouldn't count on
the Pats to win this entire game, they are likely to win the first half. So I'll be waiting
for a line on the 1h.
With the offense sputtering, the Patriots quarterback feels it's important to get everyone back on the same page during the regular season finale Sunday. He wants to end on a high note before getting a week off with the bye, then heading full steam into the post-season.
"You can’t look past this week. I think we have to improve our execution this week, and it starts with practice today to see if we can do a better job with our communication, with our overall understanding of one another and what we’re trying to accomplish out there on every play," Brady said during his press conference earlier in the day. "When you don’t do it consistently, it’s hard to score points. The more we can be on the same page, the more we can understand the anticipation of each other and the more we understand what we’re all trying to do, the better we’re going to be and the more we’re going to score points.
"It’ll be good for us to go out there and try to score a lot of points this weekend," he went on. "That’s really the goal is to try to score every time we touch the ball. This defense challenges you in a lot of ways to stop you from doing that, so it’ll be good for us to be able to do it."

How about parlay BAL&KC because if KC knocks off SD, BAL can get in. So, if BAL sees KC winning, they play harder?

Of the flip side, parlay SD&CLE, because if SD wins, BAL is playing for nothing and maybe just tank the game to CLE.

Baltimore is probably safe to win theirs, although I won't be taking them because Cleveland is
starting Hoyer, who will be hungry and is a better QB than Manziel right now. Cleveland could
relish in playing the spoiler. I don't respect Baltimore, and I don't respect Kansas City.

Connor Shaw is starting for the Browns NOT Hoyer. Shaw undrafted rookie free agent who was on practice squad all year. Still think Baltimore -14 is way too high of a line!

Not sure how much you consider possible tanking in Nfl (some might). But Tenn and Tampa can only hurt their franchises with wins today. Both currently sitting at 1-2 but not sure who has tie breaker. Lot of teams sitting at 3 wins and probably still will be by end of day. So not sure Tampon or Tenny wanna get lumped in that group.

No shocker Tampon layed down like I said and Tenny was not beating Luck coming off a loss regardless of effort. Damn R.P. has his moments but like Dangerfield gets no respect around here it seems at times. Lol. Oh well

Gotta beat the man to be the man. I'm not a Sec fan (Sparty here) but until the pendulum swings a bit Sec is still the man and conf to beat.
