The line moved from 3.5 to 6 and you don't see any indication. Wow.

coiner check vegasinsider.com if u want to know who the public is on.

but be careful falling into the trap of putting too much stock in who the public is on or what the line is doing...

The public does win plenty of games too. I mean think about it..

most Americans do not bet on sports. And the ones that are willing to risk hard earned money are damn sure going to put the research in before
    betting on the game.

just handicap the matchup on the field to the best of your ability and you will be alright.

    That's how I bet. That's how I always bet.

If the line makes no sense, there's usually a reason. I've done quite well for myself through the years employing that philosophy.

Of course Big Bear gave you points for that comment. He is a dolt who will never understand. Or win.

Coiner the books know there are a lot of cappers who use your strategy, including a lot of the heavy hitters

No approach will win 100% of the time obviously, or 80, or even 70% and so on. There will always be screwballs

It's what makes gambling fun. Trying to figure all this shit out

I personally labeled the Rams as the square play because they were favored at home, and there was a massive line move in their favor. It didn't make sense to me, so I decided to go other way

Then I guess you don't know how to interpret line movement after open & before kick!
Just take the loss like a man No Coin & move onto the next!
Sharps knew this was an under. Thats why the movement was subtle.

    Nothing. Life is good.

Why stray from the topic? You're misguided if you think the "public" was on Arizona. You've always put a lot of weight in those percentages though.

I put zero weight in the percentages. They vary from site to site. I didn't say anything about % in the first place, but go ahead and put words in my mouth I guess.

I don't see how you could possibly assume the public was backing a 6-7 team at home at -3.5 to -6 vs. a 10-3 team that had already beaten them by double digits earlier in the season. I think you're equally "misguided" in saying so.

I'm not the one making assumptions, you are. You said the public was on Arizona. That is an assumption. I said that was misguided because the line moved from 3.5 to 6.

Whatever. It seems you just want to argue rather than have an open discussion. You immediately got defensive in this thread.

For as many people that simply look at the records and make their play, I think there's an equal number who look at the line and automatically decide Rams must be the right side.

You are making just as many assumptions as I am if you think that the "public" drove the line from 3.5 to 6.

Cards have been winning with smoke and mirrors all year, number show this. Rams are very tough at home and a lot of smart bettors took the Rams thinking their D would smother the Cards offense and win and cover. It did not happen like many other games. We move on. I liked the Rams but could lay 5.5 on a losing team who find ways to lose as the Cards find ways to win despite the numbers....hence 11-3 with their magic act.
