HOU - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick back as starter?

Source: Houston Chronicle - John McClain

Houston Texans QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is expected to return to a starting role after QB Ryan Mallett (pectoral) suffered a pectoral injury in Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Mallett will have an MRI, and a tear would likely keep him sidelined several weeks.

Fitzpatrick had some decent fantasy games as Tennessee's starter last year, but the Texans take a more conservative tack on offense. He could still be a viable streamer play if he starts against those Titans next week.

CIN - WR A.J. Green sets career high in win

Source: The Associated Press

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green posted a career-high 12 receptions for 121 yards in Week 12 against the Houston Texans. 'It's just one of those days when you just feel in synch - the whole offense,' Green said Sunday, Nov. 23. 'Our running game really helped us out to keep me one on one a lot. It was nothing special.'
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
This is what Green owners were expecting when they took him in the first round - a ton of targets and most of them converted into catches. He's set up for a big game against Tampa's ragtag secondary next week.

GB - RB Eddie Lacy gets sick during game
Source: The Associated Press
Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (illness) ran 25 times for 125 yards and a touchdown in the Week 12 game against the Minnesota Vikings, and he added two receptions for 13 yards and a score. Lacy left the locker room after the game without speaking to reporters, and the team said Sunday, Nov. 23, that the running back was ill.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Lacy ran with great burst, balance, and power. It seems like the Packers are going to ride him more as the weather gets colder. Look for a big dose of Lacy to keep Tom Brady off of the field in Week 13 when the Patriots come to Lambeau.

IND - QB Andrew Luck comes up short of 300

Source: The Associated Press

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck completed 21 of his 32 passes for 253 yards and a touchdown in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also ran eight times for 49 yards. However, he came up 47 yards short of tying the NFL record by New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees for consecutive 300-yard games. Luck's streak ended at eight.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Colts offense was surprisingly thwarted by a Jaguars pass rush that makes you wonder about how the Colts will perform against tougher defenses. Next week brings Washington, so don't get worried about Luck yet.

IND - New daddy WR T.Y. Hilton finds end zone

Source: The Associated Press

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton was up early Sunday, Nov. 23, for the birth of his daughter, and he promised a touchdown. After his wife delivered their child, he delivered a touchdown for fantasy owners in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He finished with four receptions and a game-high 122 yards with one touchdown.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hilton rewarded owners who took a chance on him coming through on one of the biggest days of his life. Next week against Washington should also bring a bundle of joy for those with Hilton in their lineups.

NE - Tim Wright sees extensive action

Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots TE Tim Wright played a season-high 60 snaps in Week 12 against the Detroit Lions, which shattered his previous best of 21 snaps, which he hit twice. He finished with five receptions for 36 yards and two touchdowns.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wright's use will be variable, but he can definitely deliver in the end zone when he is used. There are worse desperation plays at tight end, and Wright is also a viable handcuff to Rob Gronkowski for nervous owners.

NE - RB LeGarrette Blount back with vengeance

Source: The Associated Press

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount carried 12 times for a team-high 78 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 12 game against the Detroit Lions after re-signing with the team this week.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jonas Gray overslept and Blount's career got the wake-up call. You have to presume that Blount is the Patriots power back to own now, even though it's clear Gray is plenty capable. Next week they both go to Lambeau to play the Packers.

TEN - Zach Mettenberger decent in loss

Source: The Associated Press

Tennessee Titans QB Zach Mettenberger completed 20 of his 39 pass attempts for a career-high 345 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the Week 12 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Eagles have given up big games to multiple quarterbacks who aren't even starting, so allowing numbers to a rookie should have been expected. Tony Romo gets the Eagle vulnerable pass defense on Thanksgiving in Week 13.

PHI - RB LeSean McCoy righting the ship
Source: CSNPhilly.com - Reuben Frank

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy is averaging 95 yards per game and 4.5 yards per carry over the past seven weeks.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCoy hasn't had the explosive games and major involvement as a receiver he had last year, but he is still one of the few RB1s for fantasy, getting steady volume in a good offense. Next up is Dallas on Thanksgiving.

CLE - CLE rushing ball well in 2014

Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich

The Cleveland Browns have 14 rushing touchdowns this season, which is the most by the franchise since it had 14 in the 1989 season. The team had just four rushing touchdowns last season. Rookie RB Isaiah Crowell leads the way with seven touchdowns, while fellow rookie Terrance West has three. Departed RB Ben Tate (Vikings) also had four.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowell has a tough matchup at Buffalo next week, but he has earned at least a flex level play with his strong running.

CLE - WR Josh Gordon strong in debut

Source: The Associated Press

Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon posted eight receptions for 120 yards in his regular season debut in Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons. He was targeted a game-high 16 times in the win.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gordon was a bit rusty when it came to being in sync with his quarterback, but he looked effortlessly fast for a receiver his size, and the Browns manufactured ways to get the ball in his hands. He's an elite WR1 for the stretch run and will reward owners who held him.
