ARI - QB Carson Palmer out for season
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in Week 10 and will be placed on the Reserve/Injured list.

Terrible news for the Cardinals here. They will continue with what could be a Super Bowl run with Drew Stanton at quarterback.

MIN - Grievance filed for RB Adrian Peterson
    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson had a grievance filed on his behalf against the NFL by the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) Monday, Nov. 10.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We'll see more activity in this Peterson situation this week. The NFLPA asks that Peterson be removed from the Commissioner's Exempt list based on explicit language in a signed agreement…'

HOU - RB Arian Foster considered day-to-day
    Source: HoustonTexans.com
Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (groin) is day-to-day with a groin injury, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
A heads up for fantasy owners here. Foster should be able to practice later in the week, so check back to monitor his progress. He might be limited all week, but look for a full participation on Friday.

DEN - RB Ronnie Hillman out at least two weeks
Source: The Denver Post - Mike Klis
Denver Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman (foot) will miss at least two weeks with a sprain in his right foot, according to a source.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Oh boy, this news will have fantasy owners scrambling. The Broncos saw C.J. Anderson emerge with 163 all-purpose yards and a receiving touchdown against the Raiders in Week 10. Anderson could be the starter for the team going forward, but also remember that Montee Ball is coming back from his groin injury and should be available to play against the Rams in Week 11. Also remember that the Broncos are using a 'hot hand' approach to their RBs (including Juwan Thompson).

NYG - RB Rashad Jennings may be able to play
    Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) appears to be on track to play in Week 11, according to sources.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Jennings has wanted to play the last couple of weeks, but the time wasn't right. Now, it looks like Jennings is going to be available in Week 11. Watch to see if he can practice fully on Friday at the latest in order to be ready.

MIA - Branden Albert has torn ACL, MCL
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Miami Dolphins OT Branden Albert (knee) has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and a torn medial collateral ligament, according to a source.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Terrible news for the Dolphins here. Albert had graded out high as Ryan Tannehill's blind-side protector. Now the Dolphins will turn to rookie Ja'Wuan James as their left tackle. Drop all expectations for the Dolphins skill position players.

STL - DE Chris Long may return to practice
Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch - Jim Thomas
St. Louis Rams DE Chris Long (ankle) may be able to participate in practice this week, according to head coach Jeff Fisher.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Getting Long back would be a boost for this defense. Long is currently on the Active/Reserve/Injured list. Even if he participates in practice this week, we would be surprised to see him suit up against the Broncos in Week 11.

STL - QB Austin Davis keeping job
Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch - Jim Thomas
St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis will continue to be the team's starting quarterback, according to head coach Jeff Fisher.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Rams really don't have a better choice behind Davis. They'll be drafting a new quarterback in 2015 anyway, but they can at least see more from Davis if he's going to be any sort of backup QB.

DEN - RB Montee Ball hopeful of returning
    Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Legwold
Denver Broncos RB Montee Ball (groin) is hopeful of putting in a full week of full practice, and he is poised to return to the lineup in Week 11 against the St. Louis Rams after missing five games. Ball wants to do more than just return, though; “to try and get my old job back.” 'It's who's healthy, No. 1 first and foremost. We've been evaluating that week to week ... we'll evaluate it again come Wednesday,' head coach John Fox said. 'Doesn't matter how I feel, it's how they feel ... Time heals, we'll see how they feel come Wednesday.”
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Ball should be back in the lineup this week against the Rams. What is unknown at this time is his role with the team. Ronnie Hillman has been starting while Ball has been out, but now Hillman is day-to-day with a mid-foot sprain. C.J. Anderson looked great against the Raiders in Week 10 (163 all-purpose yards), and he could be the starter if the Broncos want to ease Ball into the rotation.

TEN - Zach Mettenberger must improve in two areas
Source: The Tennessean - John Glennon
Tennessee Titans QB Zach Mettenberger needs to get the ball out of his hand faster and check down quicker, according to head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Mettenberger has had these problems dating back to his days at LSU (and even Georgia). He's got a big arm, but accuracy has always been a problem. His game also suffers when under duress.

ARI - Likely will add QB
    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban
The Arizona Cardinals likely will sign another quarterback to their roster because of the injury to QB Carson Palmer (knee), according to head coach Bruce Arians.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
No shocker here. Without Palmer, the team is elevating Drew Stanton to their starting quarterback. Rookie Logan Thomas will serve as the primary backup. It's wise for the Cardinals to add some sort of veteran backup for depth.

TEN - RB Dexter McCluster has knee bruise
    Source: TitansOnline.com
Tennessee Titans RB Dexter McCluster (knee) suffered a knee bruise Sunday and will be monitored throughout the week, according to head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Watch his practice status during the week. McCluster is not much of a fantasy option, but he can make a few plays for the team as a change-of-pace back/receiver.

CHI - QB Jay Cutler will not be benched
Source: Chicago Tribune - Rich Campbell
Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler will not be benched at this point but does need to play better, according to head coach Marc Trestman.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Cutler may not be benched, but that doesn't mean he's going to play any better. The Bears are at a low point in the Trestman era. We love his mind for the game of football, but Trestman could be the fall guy if the Bears don't turn things around.

CHI - WR Brandon Marshall has chance to play
    Source: ESPNChicago.com - Jeff Dickerson
Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall (ankle) appears to have a good chance to play in Week 11 despite his ankle injury, according to head coach Marc Trestman.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Marshall believes the ankle injury is minor, but we're going to be watching him closely during the week of practice. Check back to monitor his practice status as the week goes on.

NYJ - QB Michael Vick voices opinion on starting
    Source: NFL.com - Conor Orr
New York Jets QB Michael Vick believes he should have been starting sooner than Week 9, subtly stating the Jets would be in a better position had that been the case.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
So much for being a veteran backup. Vick walked the company line when he was the second-string guy behind Geno Smith. Now, he's touting his own ability--and with good reason. The Jets offense has more life with Vick under center.

ARI - QB Carson Palmer expected to return in 2015
    Source: NFL.com
Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (knee) has no further damage in his left knee other than a torn anterior cruciate ligament, and he’s expected to be ready for the 2015 season, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Cardinals are going to have to make a Super Bowl run without him. Drew Stanton is a good backup with a strong arm and the athleticism to keep plays alive with his feet while keeping his eyes downfield.

MIN - TE Kyle Rudolph does some work
    Source: ESPN.com - Ben Goessling
Minnesota Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph (abdomen) was able to do some things during practice Monday, Nov. 10, and the team hopes he will be able to return to the field in the near future, according to head coach Mike Zimmer.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
He's getting close to returning. Keep an eye on his practice status during the week.

MIA - RB Lamar Miller expected to be fine
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (shoulder) appears to be fine for Week 11 even though he was not able to finish the game in Week 10, according to sources.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Miller may be fine, but this shoulder injury lowers his fantasy stock. We consider him a good RB3/flex play while he's playing banged up. This is down from his usual RB2 level of projection.

NYG - Odell Beckham praised by Richard Sherman
Source: New York Daily News - Ebenezer Samuel
New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. had a game-high seven catches for 108 yards in the team’s Week 10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and he was covered by CB Richard Sherman for most of the game. “Beckham is a great player,” Sherman said. “So they had to depend on him and take risks and take shots in games like this. He was able to get one earlier, which was a great play by him.”
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Sherman is the best corner in the game (in his mind), and praise for opposing receivers doesn't come that often. Beckham certainly deserves praise as he's got superstar upside in the NFL. The rookie runs routes effortlessly and has playmaking ability.

BAL - RB Justin Forsett having dream season
    Source: CSNBaltimore.com - Bo Smolka
Baltimore Ravens RB Justin Forsett set career highs in the team’s Week 10 win over the Tennessee Titans, rushing 20 times for 112 yards and two touchdowns. Forsett now has a career-high five touchdown runs this year, and he also has single-season bests for carries (133) and rushing yards (721) on the season. Forsett played for offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak in Houston, and his style of slashing with a quick burst fits the Ravens system perfectly. Forsett entered Week 10 leading all running backs with 5.39 yards per carry, and he ranked fifth in rushing yards. “He’s the kind of guy that deserves it,” head coach John Harbaugh said. “When you watch him on tape, he has always been a playmaker, and now he’s getting an opportunity to prove that. He’s doing a great job with it.”
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Fantasy owners are right there in a dream-like state with him. Forsett has always had the talent, but he's bounced around the NFL trying to find the right fit. He's found that with Kubiak, and it was a wise move for the team to add him when Kubiak came on board as the new offensive coordinator. Forsett is a low-end RB1 with upside.

SF - QB Colin Kaepernick hurt by drops
    Source: ESPN.com
San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick only completed 43.8 percent of his passes in the team's Week 10 in part because the team dropped six passes during the game, which is most by any team this season.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Yes, drops are contributing to Kaepernick's bad completion percentage. However, he's not the most accurate passer to begin with. He's what we call a 'pure sight thrower' and rarely throws with touch or anticipation. Kaepernick is a dangerous quarterback because of his rushing ability, but he could be even deadlier if he could consistently make plays as a passer.

MIA - RB LaMichael James being promoted
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Miami Dolphins RB LaMichael James will be promoted from the practice squad to the active roster Monday, Nov. 10.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
This is a sign that Miami is worried about Lamar Miller's (shoulder) playing status. If Miller can't go, then Miami will turn to a RBBC featuring Daniel Thomas, Damien Williams and perhaps a small dash of James.

DET - RB Reggie Bush sees light work
    Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman
Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush played just 19 offensive snaps Sunday, Nov. 9, which was 28% of the offense. In contrast, RB Joique Bell played 67% of the snaps and RB Theo Riddick played 10% of the snaps.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
It's a three-headed RBBC in Detroit, and fantasy owners need to adjust their expectations accordingly. Bell is the most valuable back of the three, while Bush and Riddick have near-equal value with their smaller roles.

BUF - RB Anthony Dixon keeps legs moving
    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak
Buffalo Bills RB Anthony Dixon is fifth in the NFL with 2.31 yards per carry after contact this season.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Yep, but realize that Dixon has only 58 carries this year. Marshawn Lynch has a greater yards after contact per rush (2.36) and he has 153 carries in 2014.

CHI - WR Brandon Marshall optimistic for Week 11
Source: Chicago Tribune - Dan Wiederer
Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall (ankle) said he might miss some practice time this week, but he doesn't expect to miss the Week 11 game.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Let's not be too quick with a diagnosis here. Marshall's ankle has certainly been a problem this season. We'll see what his practice status is like during the week.

SF - ILB Patrick Willis may play
Source: San Francisco Chronicle - Ron Kroichick
San Francisco 49ers LB Patrick Willis (toe) may be able to play in Week 11, according to head coach Jim Harbaugh.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Getting Willis back will be a boost for the 49ers defense. He's simply one of the best linebackers in the game today.

SF - DE Glenn Dorsey could be activated soon
    Source: CSNBayArea.com - Matt Maiocco
San Francisco 49ers DT Glenn Dorsey (biceps) could be activated from the Active/Reserve/Injured list before the team's Week 11 game.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
He's going to be back real soon. Dorsey has participated in practice the last two weeks. His presence in the middle of the defensive line should help the run defense.

SF - ILB Patrick Willis placed on IR

Source: San Francisco Chronicle - Eric Branch

San Francisco 49ers placed LB Patrick Willis (toe) on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Willis is one of the best linebackers in the game today, and losing him for the rest of the year stings. Rookie Chris Borland has played well with more playing time, but he's not at the level that Willis is.

PHI - WR Jordan Matthews has chemistry with new QB

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com - Bo Wulf

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews, who had seven catches for 138 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 10 win with QB Mark Sanchez starting, developed some nice chemistry with Sanchez in training camp this year. Sanchez may have completed more passes to Mathews than any other player in camp while working with the second-team offense. Sanchez immediately found Matthews for a touchdown when he relieved QB Nick Foles in Week 8 because of an injury, too.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Matthews has always reminded us of Eric Decker (Jets). Like Decker, Matthews can make tough catches and he runs crisp routes. Matthews sometimes has trouble gaining separation (like Decker) against good slot corners. We love Matthews as a matchup play because of the chemistry with Sanchez.

HOU - RB Arian Foster expected to go

Source: Houston Chronicle - John McClain

Houston Texans RB Arian Foster (groin) is expected to play Sunday, Nov. 16.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Foster had a week off as the Texans were on bye in Week 10. He'll likely be limited most of this week in practice, but watch his status on Friday. If he participates fully on Friday then feel confident about starting him in Week 11.

SD - RB Ryan Mathews will be ready

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Tom Krasovic

San Diego Chargers RB Ryan Mathews (knee) will be ready to go once he takes the field again. Head coach Mike McCoy said he's confident Mathews will be successful when he returns from a nine-week hiatus due to a nagging knee injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mathews is expected back in Week 11 against the Raiders. He's been out of action since suffering this latest injury in Week 2. Mathews might be eased into action early, but it won't take him long to get back to his bellcow workload.

MIA - QB Ryan Tannehill limited Tuesday

    Source: NFL

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle, shoulder) was limited for the second straight day in practice Tuesday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Dolphins are just giving their quarterback some rest here. Tannehill should be under center on Thursday night against the Bills.

MIA - RB Lamar Miller puts in limited work

    Source: NFL

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (shoulder) was limited in practice for the second straight day Tuesday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miller's shoulder isn't considered serious, but the team went ahead and activated LaMichael James off the practice squad. With this "minor" injury, drop expectations for Miller. We look at him as a low-end RB2/flex play in Week 11.

MIA - Limited practice for TE Charles Clay

Miami Dolphins TE Charles Clay (knee) was limited in practice for the second straight day Tuesday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Clay is what he always is...a TE2 with some upside. It's a short week for the Dolphins as they play the Bills on Thursday night. Clay should be limited on Wednesday's practice too.

CAR - QB Cam Newton not injured

Source: Charlotte Observer - Jonathan Jones

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton (foot, ankles), didn’t injure his foot or reinjure his ankles in Week 10 Monday, Nov. 10, according to head coach Ron Rivera. “I'm not sure where all that came from. But put it to rest,” Rivera said. “He said it at his press conference after the game, he's fine.”

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He's not injured, but he's not at full strength. Newton just looked off on Monday night, and he struggled to accelerate to avoid sacks. He finished the game going 18-for-30 for 195 yards, zero touchdowns and three interceptions.

BUF - RB Fred Jackson limited again

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson (groin) was limited in practice for the second straight day Tuesday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jackson returned last week, but he didn't do that much. Even though it's a short week, Jackson could get back to his normal production level. We like him as a low-end RB2 with upside in Week 11.

CHI - WR Marquess Wilson close to a return?

Chicago Bears WR Marquess Wilson (collarbone) could make a return to the field Sunday, Nov. 16, against the Minnesota Vikings following the release of WR Santonio Holmes Tuesday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wilson has the speed to take the top off the defense--and the team needs his help in a bad way. Wilson is on the short-term Reserve/Injured list. We'll see if Wilson can make an impact upon his return.

New York Jets QB Michael Vick said his future as a New York Jet isn't in his hands. Vick said he likes New York, but whether he stays there won't be his decision to make.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

DEN - Passing on Richie Incognito

Source: The Denver Post - Mike Klis

Free-agent OG Richie Incognito (Dolphins) will not be signing with the Denver Broncos after working out for them Monday, Nov. 10, according to multiple NFL sources. The door is not closed on him, though, after he had a productive visit with the team.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Denver has shuffled their offensive line multiple times this year, and they may not be done rotating players. The Broncos will continue to look at improving their offensive line.

Chicago Bears WR Santonio Holmes was released Tuesday, Nov. 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is likely a sign that Marquess Wilson (collarbone) is going to be activated off the IR/Designated to Return list soon. Holmes didn't do much during his brief time with the Bears. His playing days may be over.

SF - WR Michael Crabtree unhappy with role

Source: The Mercury News - Tim Kawakami

San Francisco 49ers WR Michael Crabtree made it a point to voice his frustration about his role in the offense when interviewed about making a big fourth-down catch in the Week 10 win over the New Orleans Saints. Crabtree was pulled from many first- and second-down situations against the Saints. “Third down. I’m a third-down receiver. I mean, I’m like the third option. So I come in and I do my job,” Crabtree said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners are unhappy with Crabtree. In shallow leagues, there's a good chance that Crabtree is on the waiver wire. The passing game is struggling outside of Anquan Boldin. Until we see things change there, Crabtree will have little fantasy value.

CLE - RB Ben Tate disappointed with role

Source: Medina County Gazette - Scott Petrak

Cleveland Browns RB Ben Tate said he’s frustrated with his role in the offense, and he thinks he’s been running well.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tate is frustrated, and his fantasy owners share the same sentiment. It's a flavor of the week approach at RB for the Browns. Right now, the favorite back seems to be rookie Terrance West. Tate and Isaiah Crowell are both talented, but will have to wait for a larger role.

PHI - TE Zach Ertz’s role shrinking

    Source: NFL.com - Dan Hanzus

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz continued to see his role shrink in Week 10 versus the Carolina Panthers Monday, Nov. 10, as head coach Chip Kelly seems more comfortable with TE Brent Celek because of his blocking skills.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners need to move on from Ertz until we see more from the young tight end. Celek is the better play from this offense, and that may not change for the rest of the year. Ertz must work on his blocking moving forward.

Source: The Tennessean - John Glennon

Tennessee Titans RB Bishop Sankey currently ranks fifth among rookie running backs this year with 360 yards, and he’s averaging 3.9 yards per carry, and he has just one carry longer than 20 yards in 92 chances. He had 38 yards on his first nine carries in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens, but produced just 20 yards on his final eight carries. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt said the offensive line needs to do a better job of opening up holes for the rookie running back. The team is choosing to use RB Leon Washington in third down situations. 'I think Bishop will still get a chance to protect and to catch passes on first and second down,' Whisenhunt said. 'But one of the things you try to be consistent with is the protection and working together with those things on third down.”

Sankey has been holding Sankey back. The line isn't doing him any favors, but great backs can create their own space as a runner. Sankey is a good (not great) all-around back, but he's not overly fast, quick or powerful.

The Rams will start Shaun Hill at quarterback in Week 11 against the Broncos.

Earlier this week, coach Jeff Fisher said Austin Davis would remain the starter vs. Denver. He's apparently changed his mind after watching tape of Davis' fourth-quarter meltdown against the Cardinals in Week 10 when he tossed an interception, pick-six, and lost a fumble-six on three consecutive possessions. Veteran Hill will be back under center after going 8-of-13 for 81 yards and one interception in the first half of Week 1 against the Vikings before heading the bench. Davis proved to be in over his head in recent weeks. Hill, like Davis, won't be a fantasy option.

Delanie Walker (concussion) DNP on Wednesday

Delanie Walker (concussion) isn't practicing Wednesday.

Walker was knocked out in the second quarter of Week 10 on a hit by Ravens S Terrence Brooks. He lay motionless on the field before eventually being carted to the locker room. Walker appears extremely doubtful for Week 11.

Gio Bernard (hip) still sidelined at practice

Giovani Bernard (hip) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice.

Bernard is off on the wrong foot once again. Jeremy Hill is the early favorite to handle every-down duties in Week 11 against the Saints. Coming off a clunker last Thursday night, Hill is shaping up as a high-end RB2 against New Orleans' middle-of-the-pack run defense. We'll update Bernard no later than Thursday.

Rashad Jennings expected to start vs. 49ers

The Newark Star-Ledger's Jordan Raanan would be "stunned" if Rashad Jennings (knee) doesn't start and "carry a significant load" against the 49ers in Week 11.

That's been the feeling we've been getting, too. With Peyton Hillis (concussion) and Michael Cox (broken leg) going down in Week 10, the Giants still chose not to add a running back earlier this week, hinting they felt confident in Jennings. Look for Andre Williams to go back to a short-yardage role, handling a couple carries, while Jennings returns to his workhorse post. He's a solid RB2.
