ML/spreads picks at least allow the player to factor in stats, induction, and intuition. With totals, you don't have anything reliable and are just hoping the teams score or don't score.
Disagree. Tonight's game for example, Chargers average 29 on the year and have scored above 20 in 20 straight going into tonight's game. Tennessee is averaging 29 since their 0-6 start. Sometimes you get strong evidence and nice matchups that will produce or not produce points. The thing with totals is you can't pick many games, you look for that certain game that stands out as a high or low scoring affair.
