Michael Floyd Now the Arizona Cardinals #1 Receiver?

    Over Fitzgerald? Could be.

Dan Pompei says that some people inside the Cardinals organization believe Michael Floyd is "in for a big year" and will be Arizona's No. 1 wide receiver this season. There’s no doubt that Floyd has the talent and Fitz is on the downward slide of his career, but he’s not done yet. He’s honed his craft and at 31 he still has juice. Thankfully in Bruce Arians’ offense there are plenty of passes to go around for the top two receivers. It’s of course not out of the question that Floyd ends up with slightly better fantasy numbers, but I’m not about to discount Fitz. I do know that they will help each other and are both set up for big seasons. Of course fantasy-wise Floyd comes at a cheaper price tag and probably has more value on draft day.

Face it, some teams basically have 2 #1 WRs. That's just one aspect of what makes AZ so scary.

Tough division though. Good they have a couple good receivers but winning in that division may be tough.

Palmer could a be a great sleeper QB in standard leagues with TDs counting as 4 points. Lots of passing yards

    How about CAR,KC,TEN,CLE,JAX,OAK,STL,BUF,NYJ,PIT,T B? That's 1/3 of the league that has questions @ #2WR.

yea that part of AZ is going to make them very hard to defend, I wouldn't put either one above the other

Floyd is better then Fitz, Floyd a steal in most drafts going to be a low end WR1 this yr. Avoid Fitz his career is on the down slid and Floyd will easily over take him as the team's #1 WR.

For teams that assign their top corner to the top receiver (as opposed to a side of the field), Fitz will be regarded as the #1.

If Floyd really is a #1 over Fitz, then Arizona has the best receivers in the NFL. Only problem is Palmer is the one throwing to them. Arizona defense will be below average with Dockett and Washington out for the year, and Dansby now in Cleveland.

I drafted Floyd before Fitzgerald was taken in my fantasy league. He should have better numbers.

It's just a shame that Fitz had the meat of his career spoiled by awful quarterbacks after Warner retired.

Derek Anderson, Matt Lienart, Skelton, Hall to name a few of the sh++bags that wasted his career. I agree with you there but I still think he's got some lead in his pencil

Yea. Instead of 70-90 receptions though he could have put up record numbers if he had a legit guy back there.

These guys are probably going to bounce back and forth. I expect them both to have 80 catches and over 1,000 yards and 9 TD's this year.

    Floyd really is new #1
Teams will still treat fitz as tops though

Does fitz even have a catch?

Fitz was the 11th player to get a reception. 10 Guys hauled in a pass sooner. I believe he only had 3 targets total.
