I went to Las Vegas a few days ago and noticed that the Cantor Sports Book represented by the Cosmopolitan and Venetian Casinos offered Futures betting that gave more favorable odds to the gambler than the other casinos(MGM,Luxor,Excalibur, New York New York)
Below is a list of odds to win the Superbowl at most of the casinos for good teams and long shots on May 27.
(Parentheses indicates a Cantor Casino):
New England 6/1(9/1)
Seattle 4/1(5/1)
Dallas 30/1(27/1) The only outlier!
Ravens 22/1(35/1)
Giants 18/1(33/1)
Washington 40/1(55/1)
Oakland 50/1(100/1)
Why should I not make all my bets at a Cantor Casino? Why go to the MGM? It is like traveling to South America and one bank gives you 75 pesos to the dollar and another gives you 90 pesos to the dollar. What am I missing?
You basically looked at two books. All of the other hotels you looked at are MGM Grand books. MGM Grand books are normally tighter than most in Vegas. William Hill is by far, the biggest book in Vegas. Caesars Palace takes in a huge amount of action. All Cantor books are trying to do is to get people to spend money in their casino's and hotels. This is an old ploy.
