Kinda doubt he makes team, but not bad to have a guy that can do a lot of things. Extra running back, wildcat option, emergency QB, special teams, maybe even some DB. Everyone knew he was never going to be a QB at the next level. He'd be on par with Tebow as a QB.

Good scout team qb, can replicate running qbs they might face through the season.

He's about a 4.7 40 guy. Maybe he can play fullback.

This Lynch kid is more interested in playing football any way he can. Not looking for the closest camera.

No surprise here. He was a running QB, who was not even close to being a pro style QB. Could be a good #3 option, see some special teams play, be an emergency QB, etc.

I thought you were from Illinois? Lynch led Northern Illinois to BCS bowl game two years ago and to undefeated regular season last year before losing in MAC Championship Game.

In your opinion, who should do better in the NFL? I'm not familiar with Carey and that's because I'm asking.

Carey even though he finished behind Lynch in rushing yards the last two years in college. In fact they finished 1-2 in the nation in rushing two years ago with Lynch beating Carey out by 14 yards. Then last year, Lynch finished second, about 160 yards ahead of Carey in fifth. The difference is that Carey is a true running back that rushed for 1885 yards on 5.4 YPC last year after rushing for 1929 on 6.4 YPC in 2012.

He also didn't suit up the first game of the season.

Carey is a stud. He does everything really well, to include block. He's a Forte clone in most ways to include receiving. It's his blocking that will get him Playing time. The reason he fell is because he had a miserable 40 time and RB's were not a top priority this year.

Bears got an absolute Steal. He was given a mid 2nd rd rating, in this draft. There are a few players I saw at Arizona and knew they'd be studs in the NFL well before they played their first down. In order, Briggs, Gronk, Foles and now Kadeem. (To be fair, I thought Antoine Cason would be a stud too, so I did miss there).

As a Bears fan, my only issue with the pickup, is he wont get as much run as he should.

Ya never know. I think the Bears are eyeing lightening Forte's load just a bit. He stayed healthy last season but it's not always the case form him. 50/50 Forte misses significant time. Bears def needed a second competent back and a potential successor to Forte.

Carey is very productive and 40 time for a RB is very overrated. It's not a predictor of success at that position. Sure, it doesn't hurt, but quickness, shiftiness, strength, hitting the hole, smarts, all so much more important.

True that. Forte always getting injured snd that's when the team usually goes into a tailspin.

Jordan hasn't even made an NFL team yet........

    Tebow on two national champions

    First round selection NFL draft

    Never has gotten laid

Bear's gifted him a playoff win

    Has God on his side

I think he's gotten locked in to a gig as a talking head for college football

Think the comparison is a little off
