B. Dungy's overrated and the Cover-2 couldn't beat elite QBs....look at how bad Tom Brady and Rivers made Indy look in the playoffs year after year. Brady averaged 30 ppg vs PMs Colts....thats shit defense no matter how you slice it.

C. Jim Caldwell is horrible.....Brees was 32 for 38 in the SB vs Indy. Thats not quality D either!!

Bottom line...Brady goes down in the opener & Pats go 11-5. PFM goes down and they go from a playoff team to the worst team in football. END OF STORY

Dungy was there 7 years, they were a top calibre defense nearly every year when Dungy was there.

I'm not defending Mora, but during those years the offense only put up 16 or 17 points in the playoffs.

Problem is, how many times do Peyton's fantasy numbers hit a brick wall in the playoffs?
-16 points at home against the Jets in 2010 and 0 points in 2002, both losses.
-17 points against the Saints in the Super Bowl, including a game losing pick-6.
-17 and 24 at home against the lowly Philip Rivers Chargers.
-18 points as a double digit favs at home to the Steelers.
-3 and 14 points against Brady's Pats, with those numbers it doesn't matter what the Colt D did.
-16 against TEN and 17 against MIA in the Mora years, can't blame the D for those losses.

You missed my point. Bobby Knight once said the press in basketball can only beat bad teams. Same with the Cover-2. Brady averaged 30 ppg in all his lifetime meetings vs PMs Colts. Indy couldn't stop Rivers or Sproles either. Even when they weren't giving up tons of points like PMs last Colts game...playoff loss to NY. The Jets still went on long time consuming drives keeping Manning off the field because the Cover-2 is a glorified prevent and nobody is attacking the line of scrimmage. The only 2 playoff games PM was ever throttled was in Foxboro and NE not only had great def players but they grabbed so much that the NFL changed the fkn rules. The choker label is way overblown....how did Brady do last week if he's so superior? Its a team game!! If you go back a little bit you think Phil Simms and Doug Williams > Elway?
