    Is the line going to hit 3?

    I'm going with Seattle, but I sure wouldn't mind that extra half point. I figure I got little to lose by waiting. IMHO, it's worth risking the chance the line goes down to 2 in order to hold out hope that it will go up to 3.

    Anyone think we might hit 3? Or is that a pipe dream?

    If I was a Sportbooks I'd rather hold the game for a Billion $$$$$$$$$$ rather than moving to 3.5

    This is why you are NOT a sportsbook. If you give -3, -110, then the hook buyers go to -2 1/2 or -3 1/2 (depending on which team you like) -115 or 120. The smart money plays a middle at -115 if they can get it. The books cannot afford that. The truth of the matter is that it depends on where the money is on Saturday NIGHT after the major shops in Vegas close. All they want to do is make money. Believe me their computers are a lot sharper than the alleged line makers in here are.

    -2.5 and +3.5 are huge numbers.

    No more important number than 3 in the NFL, which makes it interesting - to me at least - that the number is currently at -2.5.

    uhh duh I'm not a sportsbook...

    But, even though the wall is high at -2.5 to -3 certainly doesn't mean it won't or can't get there. As we speak books are imbalanced by 3-1 on Denver. They are not worried because its early and volume is light and they like the number and think there is a lot of Sea action coming in. This time next week the line will definitely move IF the Sea money fails to show a 2/2.5.

    For you amateurs out there who hae no way of following the line, it already hit 3 in Vegas (which is the ONLY place you can get down in a hurry). Sunday Night, 7:30, at Station Casino's the line hit -3. That lasted all of 4 minutes. More iortantly, today, from about Noon to about 2 pm, the line at the Wynn was down to -0.5. Yep. 1/2. If you guys see a line that you really want, you had better JUMP on it, and not hem and haw around like some of you do.
