    Adolf Hitner and Anquan Boldin are their only FA I see on their roster that are starters. Gore could hit the wall but it's obvious that with a healthy Crabtree and Davis to stretch the field he doesn't have to be the super man they once needed him to be.

    49er fans are so pessimistic. I am too, so I can't judge, but come on! He is very inexperienced, and yet even with his flaws he has led the 49ers to two NFC Championships and a Super Bowl, just on physical talents alone.

    He's a smart guy (check his GPA in college). No, not Alex Smith smart, but he's not dumb. Give him some time FFS.

    Kap cannot throw the ball, in case noone noticed. Keep him boxed in and he is toast. The 49ers also are getting long in the tooth with Gore and their RB's, and have a tougher schedule to face than Seattle does next season. Look at the schedule. Seattle has at least a one game advantage over the 49ers if their records are identical in division play.

    I'd say 49er-Pats. Both have been in 3 straight conference championships, but only one SB loss each to show for it.
