Manning is winning the Super Bowl in case you haven't figured out the script

Eli has won two Super Bowls, including one on Peyton's home field. Now Peyton will win his second on Eli's home field.

Peyton let the Saints win after Katrina.

Peyton let Lewis win in his final farewell tour.

The league owes Manning now. He'll get it on his brother home field. The script has been written. The NFL needs a Manning win for his legacy.

    Take Denver minus whatever.

What "script" is worth the paper it's written on, if it includes sending a seemingly unworthy team to the Super Bowl just to appease an aging HOF linebacker? A linebacker for christsakes? Furthermore, he's a shady character at best so I wouldn't think Goodell would feel any sense of indebtedness to Ray Lewis. I see what dots you're trying to connect, but the Lewis one is really reaching. Don't buy that at all.

P.S. Would Goodell rather send Ray Lewis off into the sunset over Tony Gonzalez (who's a great character guy) who was also playing his last season last year (before the announced comeback)?

Lewis was more theatrical than Tony ever would have been.

Doesn't matter. It's the Super Bowl. No linebacker, or tight end for that matter, would ever dictate the order of such important events....especially a linebacker who tarnished the league's image in a murder trial. Beyond that, all of Lewis' theatrics you speak of were relegated to pregame rituals, as his on-the-field prowess had diminished quite markedly.

    Denver will win.

If you want to take Wilson against Manning go for it.

I agree with this statement. But it has nothing to do with my previous posts. All I'm saying is that people like to connect dots with the advantage of hindsight. If you knew in advance that the NFL was going to giftwrap a Super Bowl for the Ravens as a going away present for Ray Lewis, you could have made a nice chunk of change betting Baltimore in a future.

I had Ravens ML last year and against Denver. I actually rode them all playoffs.

Denver is winning. It will be a big bet for me.

Be careful with the Super Bowl. There are some definite matchups that favor Seattle. It's gonna be a tough game to cap.

Yes. It will be tight and I will be sweating but Denver has too much offense.

Startles defense will kept it close though.

Clearly not the better "team" and defense wins championships but early on I'm agreeing with the way your script and probably the nfl's plays out BD

This game isn't in Seattle. Not sure why so many people think Wilson is going to out duel Manning.

Seattle is good enough to keep it close but that aren't winning.

I made this thread before the line came out and it's already moved three points.

Whoever is saying Wilson is gonna outduel Manning needs to set down their crack pipe. Not bout that Dof my main concern is weather and Seattle defense/physical style. This gm will be men vs boys from a physical standpoint and possibly in bad weather this will have to be Manning's A gm to win with no exceptions and the O-line/backs/receivers better pack a lunch gonna be a long hard fought night!

It will be a tough game but I don't see Manning losing to Wilson.

Manning is on a mission. We see it all the time in Sports.

He won't let his team lose this one.

Seattle would have lost to the Niners without home field.

Even more reason he won't lose here. He is on a mission.

Manning is one of the all-time greats. The Hawks haven't been in his situation. Manning has.

Denver will prevail in a hard fought game.
