Why are the nines trying to win?

Get a first round bye from eagles/Dallas or go to go with a fired up Rodgers. Gb sucks too but....The tougher game and Rodgers will break his kryptonite sooner or later.

good points, but GB is the only defense where niners put up 40 points a game on.. (past two)

Maybe they want to hope they don't play in SEA. 6th seed guarantees that.

Because as a player and coach you play to win every game youre in . If you're scared or worried about a certain opponent you don't belong in at all.

This is a fair question. Playing @ Chicago/GB much more difficult than @Phi/Dal (Dal basically a bye week).

Harbaugh doesn't know how to take foot off the gas pedal. Just not the way his teams play.

Between @GB or @PHI this week, I'd take @GB because their defense is so bad that the crowd noise won't help.

Yeah but the NFL refs won't let niners touch Rodgers. Anything close it's a flag. Wait and see. The niners will be completely thrown off and won't be allowed to play their physical style.

    Let me get this straight..

You think Harbaugh would rather play a team who finished the season red hot winning 7 of their last 8 instead of a ravished defense and a QB who is 1 bad angle away from rebreaking his collarbone? And in order to "accomplish" this.. Lose their final game going into the postseason giving away their momentum? Look like a pussy to his players by saying "hey guys I know we're about to pull off a great road win against a hot division rival but let's go ahead and give the game away because I'm scared to play a certain team."

And on top of all that, guarantee a trip to Seattle if the make it to the divisional round?

    Sports don't work like that.

You play to win the game.

    Dumb thread.

Obviously more teams are going to lose than win. Last time I checked only 1 team can win the Super Bowl, Einstein. No denying the fact that most teams who go all the way are the ones who come in hot. Proof is in the pudding bud. Try again.

It hasn't seemed to bother them the last 3 times they saw Rodgers.

    yes. it means nothing gueye.

balty was not playing well last year.

the giants were -6 in points the year before

its all about building momentum in the first game thats why so many wild cards win lately.

this year every team except sea is coming in with at least 2 wins on the trot. sf has 6 on the trot and they wont play more than 1 game
