1st off 9ers are in nothing close to a must win..zona likely loses this week as well, if not so what sf goes home to play atl while zona goes to sea. then they play each other. seeing how if sf loses they are still in the drivers seat i hope we can agree this is nothing close to a "must win"
even tho we have established that this is not a "must win" ,,lets discuss these "must wins" and how often teams that put themselves into true must win situations fail cause that who they are and why they were in that spot in the 1st place.. i certainly dont know the numbers so if you got a data base or something that says i crazy i would stand corrected, but i seriously doubt you would come out ahead betting teams that "must win"..
i swear im not trying to be a ass here but even worse than the "must win" angle is the "team has nothing to play for", it far more typical for these teams to remain competitive than quit, most guys that play football love to play football. i loved fb and i damn sure wouldnt be out there not giving a shit cause my record sucked..shit this 1st year ive ever missed the playoffs in any fantasy league and im still putting in my best guys and winning the toilet bowl bracket cause men are competitors (and we just talking stupid fantasy, i fought even harder when i was on bad teams as a kid), well real men anyway and not many punks make it to nfl so while yea there rare occasions teams have quit it a way overblown theory as far more continue to play hard and compete than not...what exactly about the bucs have you seen that makes them less likely to try?
there certainly a case to be made for sf, i dont think it a strong one as basically i think it comes down to whether you think tampa can score 14? anything over 14 they cover. 14 they very well could cover for both sides of the right line..not saying i wanna bet tampa cause if this turnes out like panthers/bucs it wouldnt shock me as sf d very well could own the gm.. i do think sf is one of the better road favs to put in a ml parlay as i dont believe they will lose. cover feels like worse than a coin flip o me..
