Shanahan Might Bench RGIII To Avoid Injury

    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/redskin...7944--nfl.html

This could be the first time in history of sports when a 3-10 team on a 6 game losing streak is benching a player to avoid injury.

Maybe they need to have him play hard to win a game instead of playing soft to not get hurt. Football is not for pussies!

If you're an intelligent person, you've been laughing and profiting off a RB playing QB for the redskins; and will continue to do so for years to come.

This is actually a pretty sharp post

Most teams take out insurance policies on high profile players/draft picks that pay out in the event of a serious injury

Neither he or Tebow are "NFL" QB's.
Put them both in one backfield and/or slot.

Maybe Shanahan should have told the kid to go out of bounds and give himself up instead of getting smashed week in and week out. Or what about using Rg3 as lead blocker or as a WR on ridiculous wildcat plays. Maybe not doing that might of helped.

    That is just an excuse

Cousins is better although owner told coach RG3 plays or he loses his job

He also is looking to get fired to collect on his contract

    is shanahans job safe?

if not he needs to distance himself from RG3 and put in Cousins immediately.

RG3 gonna get him fired. Personally i think the kid is just having a sophmore slump

Play Cousins and if he looks good turn him into draft picks like the Eagles did with Kevin Kolb or like GB might have been able to do with Matt Flynn before he signed that huge contract.

RG3 shouldn't have been playing probably the first month to six weeks of the season. Not sure what it matters now. Shanahan got really lucky last year with that late run they made to the playoffs ... I can see Snyder letting him coach out his contract next year with one full year of health to prove whether there is anything to RG3/Shanahan. Bigger problem is their defense is shite and that's not an easy fix.

And their Defense fukking sucks. This isn't RG3's fault.

I'm looking at Jim Haslett's stats, the guy is a bum. He gets the axe sooner than later.

As for RGIII/Cousins, might as well develop both guys and have an open competition next training camp, fire them up.

RGIII quit, the box scores show the defense sucks and the offense quit.

He threw mike and son under the bus and now in turn they returning the favor.

Neither side is right.....He clearly wasn't right to start the season and how long can you hold your chin up when the defense stands NO CHANCE.

like I said it's a bitter divorce.....will see who the owner sides with if anyone.

it's so Ironic with DC teams.....The Nats shut down Strasburgh the year they had a chance, only to see him get hurt in a regular season game the next year.....The skins play out a crippled RGIII when they shouldn't have and bring him back to early.....now to make a point mike want to sit him.

so backwards in so many ways.
