Manning is 2-5 in Games Under 30 Degrees. Brady is 33-2.

Just a stat I heard on NFL network. Wanted to post it here in case you want to factor it into your decision.

In those 7 games, Manning has thrown for 8 tds and 8 ints.

Obviously we knew Manning was bad in the cold and Brady was good. We've all known that for years. But did you actually know those stats? I didn't, so yeah it is new for me and probably 90% of us.

In foxborough at 9 pm? believe me it will probably be 25 degrees. that's not even factoring in wind chill.

Thank god 2-5 is such a MASSIVE sample size and could not be skewed by other factors completely unrelated to the weather ... like uh, the teams he was playing, or his own team, or anything.

agree with what you're sayin about the sample size for peyton, but the stat for brady at 33-2 is pretty significant.

His own team? Manning has played on the best reg season teams in nfl history. Never once has manning had an average or above average roster in his career. They've all been exceptional. Not a big sample size, I'm not asking you to bet brady or manning, i'm simply providing you with information. if you don't like the information, then don't read it, or don't comment.

Thats bs....last year w/the Colts PM was throwing to Blair White and Austin Collie. They still went 10-6. It was the year before they WERE THE WORST TEAM IN FOOTBALL WITHOUT HIM in case you forgot.

Indy also had Marvin Harrison and Dallas Clark...guys undersized for their position and more suited towards domes. Denver not-so-much. Bet who you want but I'm just enjoying the game and hoping for another classic.

    Games Played 30 F - 40 F

    • 13 games, Manning is 8-6 (.571)
    • 296-465 (63.7%), 3714 yards ( 8.0), 24/20, 87.7 QB Rating

    Games Played < 30 F

    • 8 games (7 full games), Manning is 2-5 (.400)
    • 175-285 (61.4%), 1761 yards (6.2), 8/8, 76.7 QB Rating

So he's terrible in cold weather right?

Not exactly. In Peyton Manning's last 8 games under these weather conditions, he had a streak of 7 straight games where he completed at least 70% of his passes. In fact, here are his numbers through those 8 games:
    177-243 (72.8%), 2129 yards (8.8), 17/10, 105.5 QB Rating
This is not the production of a weak-armed choker who folds in cold weather. His record during that stretch? 4-4. It's a team game folks. During that stretch, his offenses averaged 26.5 points per game. That would be good enough to win under most circumstances. That average when compared to scoring this year would rank that team 6th in the league.
    Other factors?

Did you notice most of those games (in fact all but 2) were road games? Most teams fare much worse on the road than at home. If you look at the standings from 2012, 24/32 teams or 75% of all teams finished with a road record at .500 or worse. Going back 5 years, 70.6% of all teams finished .500 or worse on the road.

Ok well this is a road game boss. The weather conditions are gonna be more like 15 degrees when you factor in wind chill. Manning sucks as in cold weather. Yeah he can win in 40 degrees. 40 degrees is not 15. Deal with it. Manning isn't throwing for 4 tds and 0 picks in foxborough.

Same exact team the year after and they made the playoffs. Same exact team this year and they'll make it again. Manning always has good weapons. If he doesn't have his weapons, or a bit of snow comes his way, guy turns into an INT MACHINE.

Manning is not winning anymore superbowls. Deal with it.

And yes, always good receivers. Not so much running backs and defenses.

This is the most meaningless stat in the history of mankind. One guy played his whole career in a dome stadium and the other played in an outdoor stadium where the temperature after November is below 32 degrees.

more important than the weather... manning's ankles.

he is not mobile to begin with. he's like a statue now.

he needs to rub some ray-lewis-deer-antler shit on his ankles before this sunday.
