I Love Peyton Manning and All....But Indy 7.5 Point Home Dogs?

I am taking the Colts here. Andrew Luck is pretty good and already playing like a 10 year vet in just his second season. 7.5 is a LOT OF POINTS for a home dog, especially one with offensive weapons that the Colts have. T.Y. Hilton could go off for a 50 yard TD reception at anytime. Fleener is decent catching balls up the middle. T-Rich can pound it in for 3 yards out from a touchdown and Donald Brown isn't half bad either.

Manning and that Broncos offense are juggernauts but Colts at home can hang. Only problem is Jim Irsay opening his big fat mouth and possibly making Peyton look like an overrated scrub with his comments might fuel Peyton to beat Irsay's team especially hard this week. I don;t see Luck wanting that to happen though.

    Taking Colts +7.5.

Colts and Cowboys as dogs both look good to me in the NFL.

I'd usually be all over this, the numbers are just way too good for Indy right now.

Yet, I lean Denver just because I feel Peyton will put on an instant classic.

Although, how well does Peyton do with emotion and big games? His playoff's have not been good. His main primetime game in a Denver uniform on MNF vs ATL last year, emotion was running high and he looked like Rex Grossman early and dug a hole too deep.

I still lean Denver, won't be making anything more than an action bet, might be just points - but I absolutely understand why someone would bet Indy.

San Diego's offense isn't that bad. And if you play that whole "Team did bad against Team B, and Team B sucks therefore..." nonsense you will go broke betting NFL. In fact, fade that logic and you will win more than lose betting NFL if anything.

Betting the OVER totals in both the Texas A&M and the Washington-Az college football games too. Also like Notre Dame to beat USC handily tomorrow.

Colts are not that good. They don't put up huge numbers against good teams and they've lost to mediocre teams already (Seahawks win is overblown). Broncos will probably score as much as they usually do (44 pts).

Seems easy to me, even outside the Manning circus.

Colts make their living via the power run with effective play-action off it, and Denver even with the front-runner bullshit of forcing opponents into a come-from-behind pass-only mode still has a top-5 defense against the run.

Meanwhile Indy just showed how absolutely awful they themselves are against the run in the SD game, and Manning has been very disciplined with calling run after run after run this season if the defense is giving it up.

Love Luck and most of the Colts offense, but I don't think they're nearly as effective in getting the ball down field if their play-action isn't a believable threat, and without the running game working you don't have a believable play-action of course...which is what also happened against SD.

The public gets this one right, though it seems hard to get through all the "HOME DOG HOME DOG HOME DOG" "SHARP SHARP SHARP SHARP" rhetoric. Sometimes it's as easy as it seems to be, just as it was easy in the Seattle/Arizona game.

yeah and everyone thought there run game was gonna be good but trent richardson has been TERRIBLE and now that von miller and champ bailey are back on the defensive side for the broncos and it being a "short" week for the colts and the biggest game for that organization in the last 3 years you kind of gotta favor the broncos

Donald Brown may be the ex-factor here run-wise. Guy isn't half bad if the O-Line gives him some space and he can have yards after catch receiving wise also on check down passes.

sure you aren't looking at a first half line there? 365 has -3.5 -110 1H but -6 for full game. unless it was an error they fixed.

Went 4-1 today in NCAA for a decent profit. And yes, it looks like Aussiefalconfan was looking at the 1H line of the Colts-Broncos game.

LeRon Landry is supposed to be back for Indy and he was leading the team in tackling when he got hurt. Guy is HUGE....if he's not on roids then Mr. Olympia hopefuls need to watch him train. MLB Freeman got hurt vs SD and he's been practicing too. I think Denver's guys will be fired up....this Indy resident is just going to watch it and root for Peyton to kick ass. I think Moreno will have a big game and prob catch 5-6 balls too.

They gave up 19 that isnt being torched. What killed them was Luck looking like shit. Sadly, Denver D has helped offenses all year.

Von Miller coming back hopefully is thw X factor

DEN's corners get torched everytime. T.Y. Hilton will have a field day with them and that's the only reason why the Colts will hang on. It will be OV what ever the number is.

i think they want you to take the almighty colts at home plus the points. colts were way too hyped up after beating the 49ers. the offense is just not that good.
