How much control will Tomlin have over this? PIT's depleted backfield is going to have a very hard time behind an OL that couldn't get much of a push against the Titans DL. The Bengals DL is substantially better. Roethlisberger also got sacked 5 times last week and will likely be under pressure today. I don't see a lot of points for Pittsburgh here.

I don't see this one going well for the Steelers - A complete lack of offense in week 1 vs the Titans scoring a TD late. The Bengals are EASILY an "above average" NFL defense and are healthy. The steelers are banged up and playing away off an embarrassing offensive showing . I don't really care what the historical outcome has been. Its not that the Bengals are that good, its that pitt has all the makings of a down year.

Handicapping this one comes to 24-14 or 27-17 type game for me...Bengals @ -6.5 -103 reduced juice at 5dimes makes sense based on my assumptions. 13-10 Game last year at PITT bengals won.

The line would probably more towards -9 pts if the steelers didn't lead the series 52-33 all time...

Have 3 teasers tied up with Bengals ML tonite. Why not throw one more in there:

    Bengals Pk'em & Denver/Oakland Down from 49 to 42.5

Good chance Denver gets that by themselves. Prob parlay for something too.....hate to tease and not need either side.

seems like an easy play for sure, but not sure you can use last week's result as the primary reason for the play. matchups, baby, and this is the NFL. I am more leaning towards Pittsburgh's complete lack of a running attack coupled with a road contest at the much improved Cincinnati. Some computer deal projected a 14-10 cincy win, so maybe the best thing to do here is hop on the under.

    Bengals ML and under 42.

Steelers too banged up. Cinci is notorious for imploding but I don't think Pitt's even healthy enough to capitalize on Cinci inevitably shooting themselves in the foot tonight. GL guys.

Had an even week so I'm hoping this teaser with CIN -2.5 with the under being 45.5 hits to put me with some profit. GL to everyone tonight!

Few of them they were marginally better and still won, but they are definitely the weaker team now.

LT I agree with you. I still say take Cincinnati and the under tonight. I see a 20-7 type of game. I cannot see Pittsburgh scoring more than 10 points tonight.

everybody looking too much on pitt offense last week... they lost bad to a very good tennesse team.. but pitt offense is going to be better than last week cause it couldnt get any worse than last week... pitt wont win but they will keep it competitive.. since they are very fimiliar with this bengal team....

Just take Steelers TT Under. Even if they win/cover they won't score more than 14-17 points.

I find it odd that books have been offering this at 17.5 though. Seems way too obvious because after last week, I'm sure everyone and their grandmother is wanting to hammer this play.

and thank god LAKERBOY is taking the steelers, this just made feel a hell of lot better about the bengals.

Ah, but it can! Because Steelers lost Stephens-Howling and Pouncey during the game. The OL is now worse than before and the RBs are thin.

They lost 16-9 at home to Tennessee in Week 1 with the offense not scoring until about 90 seconds left, and the often underrated Cincinnati defense is better that Tennessee's. The Steelers had offensive issues already, especially with projected starting running back Le'Veon Bell injured in preseason, and then the offense lost another running back and a key member of the offensive line last week when they lost both Stephens-Howling and Pouncey to season-ending ACL injuries. A now thin running back corps of Redman, Felix Jones and Dwyer isn't going to scare anyone and Pittsburgh no longer has any game-breaking speed at the wide receiver positions. The Pittsburgh defense is still tough, although it too lost a piece for the whole season last week in Larry Foote, but the Bengals should still score enough to win by at least a touchdown with the Steelers so easy to defend right now.
Don't forget James Harrison who plays for Bengals now. He will know which holes to block in Cincie's defense to stop Steelers running game.

Pit has lost by more than 6 only 6 times since the beginning of 2011 season. Only 4 of those losses reached double digits. Den, SF, SD, and Bal were the only teams in the last 2 years to put a real whoopin on the Steelers. This team doesn't roll over and spread their cheeks very often. Not like Cincy is some juggernaut on offense. The chances they cover the 6 are pretty slim.

All irrelevant except for maybe the fact that one of the losses by more that six points was last week at home vs. a worse team than they are facing on the road tonight. Historical stats like that go out the window for the Steelers because this is easily the worst team of the Tomlin era.

Week 1, PIT v. TEN was two bad teams facing off. Nothing more. This weekend, Houston missed 3 FGs and Schaub threw 2 INTs (10 TEN points off these TOs). Houston did not look good in that game.

So the Titans have played one team with a dysfunctional offense and one that did their best to give the game away. Admittedly, Tennessee is improved, but they're still not a good team. Locker is still a bottom 5-8 starting QB in my opinion, and they're still only averaging 3.1 ypc on the ground. They have a LONG way to go to be considered a good team, let alone a very good team.
