A game like the Saints today really pisses me off. I capped, compared and ranked a ton of selections and that came out as my favorite line of the week. And in theory, I picked the right team in the right spot, who wins the game, but doesn't cover by a point...

    Ugh.

I'm up 3 units today. All I played was a ML parlay with Floyd last night and 3 teams today @ 1. Ravens, Packers and Chiefs. Got a lil lucky... but its a fact you can't play Romo on the road after a win vs a decent defense.

Hit a 10 point teaser as they are easy, just pick your spots. Dolphins +11.5, Lions game over 37.5 and Manning bowl 3 game over 43.

Keep it simple and sweet in the NFL. That's why its my most profitable sport.

Know which games to avoid. Saints on the road, ugly Carolina Bills game. Didn't trust Philly, I never trust Vick and never will. Can never trust Rivers either.

Get it back tomorrow and week 3 and the rest of the season. Colts are an easy fade next week in SF, especially if SF loses tonight to Seattle. Just get SF under 10 and you are golden. This will be like the Colts first road game last year in Chicago, lost by 20 I think.

Add the Rams to that list. Line moved 3 full points since it was released in Rams favor and doesn't matter one damn bit.

I was thinking this today as my plays continued to lose and EACH and EVERY game was about a 1 score game. Pure randomness.

I have been doing good on totals. I played the overs with teams that can really score like Denver, Green Bay, and the Rams. I took the under in Cleveland and Baltimore game and Oakland and Jacksonville. The totals have been better for me than the sides so far this year.

yeah overs are easy to spot so far. and find a game or two where you can tease down a 7 pt favorite or tease up a 3 to 4 pt dog that you like.

I think the books have sharpened up this year so far compared to the last few years. I am a dog player so I'm doing pretty good so far.

    3 rules in nfl betting

    Don't take road favorites.

Always look at what a 6.5 point teaser does to the original line( most lines are teaser based/protection)

Take double digit dogs every time

seems like a lot of parity now, points might be better , NFL most pro consistent pro league though compared to the nba and mlb.

NFL lines are extremely sharp so I agree with you. Also, there is so much parity that anyone can beat anyone on a given day. I have adjusted my strategy to where I love betting underdogs in the NFL. Games are so close and tightly contested, that I want the points on my side. Also, I love HOME teams. If I can get a good dog or a home team not laying too many points, I will give it a good look.

The lines are hard as hell....I agree there. I like totals and I especially love the player props. 6-2 on props this year. Had Luck OVer 20 completions and Eric Decker Over 52.5 yds both easy winners and lost PM Over 2.5 tds by 1 passing TD. Kind of stupid in hindsight to pay juice for a guy to hit 3 tds every week (48 for the year) even if he threw 7 last week with those receivers. Overall they're easy as hell though.....maxed out Eli Over 250.5 in Dallas which is always a Over shootout every time. He threw for 450 yards..lol!

I recommend focusing on props first, after that becomes a money machine, then try spreads.

It makes perfect sense. They have to cover 16 lines per week in the NFL (b4 byes) and how many in college? If the Bengals win by 3 tonite do you think they give a damn? Michigan beats Akron by 2 pts or whatever and they'll prob drop 5 spots in the rankings.

beating the closer means nothing in the NFL........there was like 5 games last year where it mattered when you bet a game during the week.

NFL IS NOT HARD if you bet moneyline.

In the thread I used to have: I cashed on Chiefs moneyline, Seahawks moneyline, Pats moneyline, 49ers moneyline, and Texans moneyline (but I hedged out of it at halftime for a loss, so let's not count that one) in week 1. In week 2, I cashed on a prop on the Pats game, Falcons moneyline, Saints moneyline.

    http://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/players-ta...thread-p2.html

I also cashed on Broncos moneyline in week 2. Post 82 in the thread below.

    http://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/players-ta...thread-p3.html

I've been cleaning up in the NFL.

The question is do you want to bet moneyline in the NFL and clean up or bet ATS and have to make these types of threads later because you are one of those guys who REFUSES to lay more than -110 and wears it like a fukking badge of honor?

The only thing is that if you bet moneyline on here, guys trash you about juice. That is why I will probably just randomly post my plays around this forum, so I don't have to deal with shit talking.

Like here you go with some plays: Saint moneyline and Falcons moneyline for this week.

Good luck Giant, you good pplz.

That was a tough break. Can't cap turnovers and Brees usually dependable. If watching the game, that late pick 6 for 85 yards on great drive, late 4q, turned the game. I had the Saints on the ML and even sweated that sucker out. Guys that layed points got a bad beat there, but we've all been on the other side to.

but 1-2 of them heavy ML losses and poof there goes all your profit and you're in the hole.

was with you on this, my favorite as well. they vastly outplayed the Bucs and still don't cover. How many points did they leave in the redzone? Stopped after going for it on 4th and goal, pick 6 in the redzone... Didn't make any sense. They should have won that game by at least 5, if not more

I wouldn't consider Chiefs -195 vs Jaguars, 49ers -225 vs Packers, Saints -170 vs Buccaneers, or Broncos -185 vs Giants to be HEAVY ML...but you might.

Well said!! IMO the best way too profit is too stick to your most confidence two point spreads. Then pound a teaser with both of them for added assurance and stay away from anything else. I think I would of been 11-6 last year (wish I did it), doing it this year (1-1 thus far) but my discipline is lacking and these small bets on other games tend to add up.
