What were the most surprising stats from WEEK 1 NFL?

    Here are some nominations.

Peyton Manning 462 yards 7 TD 0 INT
Julios Thomas 5 catches, 110 yards, 2 TD
Jerome Simpson 7 catches 140 yards
Miami Dolphins only 20 yards rushing in win vs Cleveland
    Reggie Bush 20 carries, 91 yards, 4 catches, 101 yards 1 TD
Terrell Pryor, 19/29, 217 passing yards, 112 rushing yards.
    Colin Kaepernick 27/39 412 yards, 3 TD 0 INT
Anquan Boldin 13 catches 208 yards 1 TD
Jared Cook 7 catches 141 yards 2 TD
Eli Manning 450 passing yards 4 TD 3 INT
Lesean McCoy 31 carries 184 yards 1 TD

    Robert Quinn 3 sacks
    Justin Houston 3 sacks
    Perry Riley 15 tackles

    My picks
#1 Peyton Manning's 7 touchdowns in one game is amazing. That's good for 2 games!
    #2 Kaepernick's 412 yards passing from a running QB
#3 Terrell Pryor is #2 in the NFL in rushing yards right now behind Shady McCoy, he's ahead of 31 starting Rbs.

Manning's 7 TD's. Anytime you tie a record it is a big deal (when you set a record it is huge, of course).

Kaepernick was a pitcher in baseball and was drafted by the Cubs.

Green Bay underestimated his accuracy and he tore them up.

Of the essentially rookie QB's last year (like had their first START I mean), Kaepernick is the best and has most upside.

Luck is the best and has the most upside. He took a 2 win team to the playoffs.

Rg3 isn't that good of a passer. His legs opened up easy completions, you take away his legs and he's not that great of a QB. His stats are good due to all those easy completions his legs set up. Look at what happened last week when he wasn't a running threat. He's had 2 torn knees in 4 years and will run less.

Russell Wilson is short, and was a game manager last year.

I'd lump Cam into this category and I'd say he has as much upside as Kaepernick.

Only 1 RB going over 100 rushing yards

Especially after AD went 78 to the house on the first play

If Kaep is in that group, no reason Newton shouldn't be as well since the 2 were in the same draft

We'll see. For me (if for some reason we are including a 2 year starter in Newton) it is Kaepernick, Luck, Wilson (ton of heart), RG3 (injury prone, does stupid Operation Patience type shit, WAY too much hype), Scam Newton (dude is overrated, dude brought out a suggestion box, most guys on here backed him and his squad; and myself, Big Bear, Rocket, and probably only like 3 other guys said Seahawks would get it done).

Kaepernick will win a Super Bowl this year.

    Broncos v. 49ers.

    Dez Bryant 22 yards receiving.
    Philly getting up 33-7
Pittsburgh's leading rusher has only 20+ yards
    Giants 6 bonehead turnovers
Jacksonville 2 points and not crossing midfield until the 4th quarter

You picked big performances from a bunch of star players. They had big days, but it's not really surprising that they would be at the top of the stat sheet...

I nominate the Steelers offense, for being substantially worse than even the most pessimistic projections thought they would be.
