Week 1 NFL: 10 games at 1pm. Why?

10 games at 1pm and only 2 at 4:30pm. What are they thinking?

I am sure they are making the Packers 49ers a feature game, so they don't want too many games at 4.

Always 10 or 8 (during BYE weeks) 1pm games

Only 2 4pm games because of Thursday having a game and Monday having 2 games.

No late afternoon games on CBS because they are scheduled to broadcast the US Open women's final.

One Monday night game and the season opener on Thursday are both in stadiums out West, instead of one or both being 4:05/4:25 ET starts on CBS.

i'd rather them spread it out more closer to 6 and 6 games.... Lots of east coast games start at 1pt/4et... Hard to do without CBS though....

The thing is it goes 9 and 3 and 8 and 3 a ton later in season as well...

I have a sport's bar and can only get 7 games on at a time. Usually there is only 6,7, or 8 games at 1pm so I can get most on. I am just dreading on opening day and having to decide which 3 games don't get play and having to explain to the hardcore cleveland fan wearing a Weeden jersey why his game isn't being shown.

NFL owners like to keep it a family enviorment...

They know the later the game starts the drunker the fans will be.

I personally don't agree with it. I prefer to be shitfaced while watching football , but that is just how they view it.

Personally i think if you have small children you should just watch the game on tv or if you take them to the game don't complain about profanity etc...

    Where is your bar located?

if i had to pick 3 to not to be shown and it was my bar....

    1.Jets vs Buccaneers

    2. Chiefs vs Jaguars

    3. Browns vs Dolphins

Reasoning... while it sucks to not be able show any game...

Jets suck- and i wouldnt want a bunch of loud new yorkers scaring away the other patrons... ( they always take over every bar)

And pretty much nobody in florida cares about any pro sport. Jaguars and Buccaneers fans are hard to find.
( there are a few Dolphin fans out there)

and none of these teams have any star power.

But yeah i'm sure whatever game you choose not to show someone will complain about it.

Thats sounds awesome owning a sportsbar by the way.

I want to start a place like
Hot N Juicy crawfish and show sports as well

It's in Mexico and it's more of a barbecue joint that turns into a sports bar for football season and special events. The Mayweather-Alvarez fight is going to be huge in a few weeks. It's fun especially since I get to play bookie. The people are from all over so fans of a lot of teams. I usually just put the prime matches on and do first come first serve for the lesser half of the early card.
