    Capitalizing on Line Movement

    Hi guys,

I have a general question, and would like to see what you guys think.

Lets ASSUME one is able to predict line movement for NFL games. (basically can predict how the sharps will bet and move the line).

What would be the best way to capitalize on this? Again... we are assuming he can predicting the line movement.. I know it may not be possible.

    Thanks!

Decide which side you want and hit that side when it's at the maximum value.

You have to look at the line movement from the moment it opens and determine when the "sharps" are going to be hitting the line. To be successful at this, it by far is best if you have your own power ratings so you can determine if a line is priced right. You also need to have numerous books.

too much line movement and you fade, look at the 49's game last week dropped from -5 to -3, would also look at conversion charts for college and pros, remember the" juiced side" is not always the right side, put yourself in the "mindset" of the oddsmaker there weakness is that they have to account for supply and demand ie public money......you have to find the value plays , study line history small sample size makes the nfl very difficult college football is easier

you will need multiple books to get enough down on an early line too. assuming that you "know" what's going to happen.
