And Here Comes the Bears Money Already

Line down to +6.5 in many spots, and those that still have +7 have moved to -115

Still too early to tell where the bulk of the money will be coming in on guys.

Heres the latest consensus numbers on this game guys:

    Bears 53.78%
    Colts 46.22%
    4128 Bets
On a game of such stature carib should see roughly 55,000 bets on this game. Well, thats what the norm is there on these types of big football games.

    Dan,

Still line move is interesting considering relatively low volume, no?

That can be taken a couple different ways though LT.

    1. Books might feel it's still early enough to adjust the line before getting a ton of one sided action.

    2. It could be sharp money that moved this line down to the 6.5

I don't think a lot of sharps have made a decision on this game yet, so I doubt thats it bud. Needless to say I feel option one is probably the reason that line moved.

I don't think the books want to go thru what they went thru in that Pats/Colts game this past weekend. I think they put themselves in a bad spot not moving that line to 3.5-4 earlier last week. My guess they feel they didn't feel adjusting the vig was gonna cut it in a game like this one.

BBD...did you hear about this before?

Early MoneyLine generally determines the winner.

Overwhelminly the money is pounding the Chicago ML from right after conf games ended. Could this be Sharps or BIG PRO VEGAS BETTORS bets before line settles. "Get it while its hot". Approx 90% to 10%. If you did, please enlighten. Thanks.

I've heard various things on this game already. However, I don't think we will really see this line move back up to 7 as we get closer to game day. You gotta remember that most people that play offshore wait till the last minute before they place there bets, because they don't like tying up there money for so long before game time. I guess they feel they want all the working capital they can get.

So this is simply someones belief other than a fact. Good point though on bettors waiting last minute to place bets. That was just a thought. If it does stay at 6.5 -115, which side would you lean to. Chi or Indy?

I'm still undecided on this game myself. However, I feel confident that we will see 7 again across the board come game day.

What makes you think so? I always thought that having a spread of 7 on a game like the Super Bowl was a bad idea, considering the likelihood of a push (low, but as a book why risk it at all if the money isn't too lopsided at a 6.5 or 7.5?)

If the books get enough money pouring in on the Colts, i'm sure there not going to blink an eye moving it back up to the 7. However, Theres no way this game would ever hit 7.5 though. The reason is the books could get middled if it lands on 7.

I've never wagered on a Super Bowl. I've always just watched the game and ordered in.

Here comes Colts money as most of us probably expected.

    Bears 41.66%
    Colts 58.34%
    9420 Bets
I'm sure we will see a lot more Indy money in the next week or so.

If I could get the Colts -6.5 out here, I just might bet them. But as of right now, I may not bet the Super Bowl.

The gray aleins are deceiving you onlooker and you need to check yourself. It is not cool to be on the side of the grays.

The Colts love just keeps coming in I see.

    Bears 39.84%
    Colts 60.16%
    12348 Bets
I think we all pretty much figured this was coming though.

At sportsbook.com, the Bears are getting 55% and the Colts 45%. Bears are getting 90% of ML bets.

The NFL is too shady for a game as publicly bet as the Super Bowl to hit dead on the number.
