The Detroit lions will be a playoff team.

I sense this. Fade or follow.

I love the player talent and depth, but I hate the coach. Guys like Calvin, Suh and Stafford are just entering their prime years and the Lions have done well in the draft and free agency recently. But how many games did Schwartz single handedly cost them last year? That's my main concern.

I like the vikings and the packers out of the north. they have a shitty situation but then again the whole NFC is very tough. they just are not there yet on the o line and the d line. Also at reciever behind calvin they have nothing and the tight ends are anything but gamebreakers.

I got a 10 dollar bet on the vikes to win it all and I will grab packers when they start out 1-2 and are at 20+ to 1 to win it all

I agree that the WRs behind Calvin have to step up for the Lions to go anywhere in 2013. But the TEs (Pettigrew & Sheffler)are very good, there aren't very many better TE tandems in the NFL. Also, the offensive line isn't bad, it sorta reminds me of the Ravens o-line from this past season with a nice mix of youth and experience. The defensive line will hinge on how Nick Fairley progresses coming off his rookie season ending injury.

I actually have to take back what I said about the d line. that d line makes them a possible contender by itself. I dont trust the rest of the defense though.

Burleson will be back. Reggie bush is here. Defense way better. They will be like 2 years ago, with a better defense though.

Despite the injuries the Lions were in most of their games last season. A couple plays here and there and they could've been a 7-9 team. It's not a stretch saying they could be a playoff team this season. The NFL is known for teams making quick turnarounds. I definitely wouldn't sleep on them this year. With their front 4 and the additions to the secondary this team could make a run if they stay healthy.
