Bad copy but he would've been the first pick in the draft without a doubt. He got some bad advice. The best in college barr none.

Writer: Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel would be a millionaire today... if the NFL allowed it

    Dave Martin/AP
Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel (2) warms prior to the start of an NCAA college football game against top ranked Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012.

The NFL's long-standing rule that potential prospects must be three years removed from their senior year of high school before entering the draft will keep a few underclassmen from becoming millionaires on Thursday night.
USA Today's Paul Myerberg recently ran down a list of seven college stars who likely would've been high NFL draft picks this season if they has been eligible, and Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel made the cut at No. 4.
"Yeah, the NFL would have to figure out how to use his particular skill set on the next level. But as the reigning Heisman winner, Manziel’s stock may never be higher than it was heading into the offseason. If leaving this early was an option, you suspect Manziel would have at least considered the possibility," Myerberg wrote.
While it's incredibly early to be thinking about the 2014 draft, Manziel's stock certainly seems to be about as high as it can get. CBS Sports currently lists Manziel as the top quarterback prospect in the class of 2016, while noted draft site WalterFootball.com has Manziel going No. 2 overall in its early 2014 mock draft.
Last year's No. 2 overall picks, Robert Griffin III, signed a four-year, $21 million contract with the Washington Redskins that was fully guaranteed.
Other names that made Myerberg's list include South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney, USC WR Marqise Lee and Clemson WR Sammy Watkin

He's enjoying his celebrity status in College Station. He's the kind of kid who would get his books knocked of his hands on the way to class if it wasn't for football. So with all the pusey following his ass around he feels like the big man in campus, let him enjoy it a few years.

He's not as nuts as the GM that would draft a 19 year old that probably thinks he's the second coming right now. Let him mature a little, maybe go through some adversity.

The only thing that goes against this though is that his parents are stinking rich so he would pull in tail no matter what. But, I do agree with you that he should enjoy that college trim for as long as he can.

I have been trying to tell people that just let this kid get smashed by somebody like Haloti Ngata just one time. The kid would be f.u.c.k.i.n.g. crushed.

Yeah, money pulls bitches anywhere. But money and fame pull twice as much. Agree with you that he's a good hit away from eating through a straw though. I don't know why, kid hasn't done anything to me but I just can't cheer for him, maybe it's the retarded face. With a name like Johnny Football I had better expectations.
