he's better than I thought. he won a SB and I think set a record for road playoff wins, but the deal he got is still ridiculous. maybe top 10 qb but not elite.

Guy gets hot at the right time... guy looked like a bum through the first 10 games. Now, he's the highest paid QB. Still a bum... and Baltimore won't even make the playoffs.... nice contract.

lol @ everyone saying they won't make the playoffs next year. Flacco led them to the playoffs 5 years in a row and suddenly this is all going to change??? Why??? If you think this Flacco deal hurts them, you are an idiot and wrong. It helps them immensely and saves them like 10 mill in cap for next season.

they have the best front office in football. Ozzie Newsome is a god. Like it or not, they will be in the playoffs for years and years to come

    Steelers win division.
Baltimore will be lucky to get a wild card.
Time is up for them, old, not improving. Tough Schedule. Average team.

The Ravens draft and develop their players. Same with unknown free agents. For example, Kruger and Ellerbe were backups to start the season and they just made 75 million dollars.

There is a reason they make the playoffs every year. It's not magic. They have outstanding front office and personnel. They do not hold onto older/costlier players (as evident by this year and when they cut Derrick Mason and Heap).

2002-2007, they missed the playoffs 4 out of 6 years. Hardly every year. Run is over.

Getting 4 free games from the Bengals/Browns over the years is not magic.

Take these 5 playoff years with Flacco.

    10-0 vs Browns
    6-4 vs Bengals
    3-0 vs Oakland
    2-0 vs Miami
    2-0 vs K.C.
    2-0 vs Jets
    ----------
    25-4 vs Garbage

    5-5 vs Steelers
    1-2 vs Pats

They don't play anyone else often enough.

    They've made the playoffs 9 times since 2000 and won 2 Superbowls. (2000, 2001, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012).

According to you, all this success is simply the product of a "run" that is now over forever....

Or....it could be explained because, as I said, they have one of the top front offices in football.

Which one of those sounds like a more reasonable theory?

So if they are an average team, by that logic the niners are below average? Less playoffs appearances, less superbowl victories. Congrats on looking like a tool again.

    Niners = 5 super bowls ???

What's winning "last year" mean anything "now", look at the Giants....
Teams like that don't do shit the next year.

Lmao dumbass im talking about the last decade. Who the penetrate cares what bill walsh did, the giants and ravens being an "average team" as one idiot thinks have as many superbowl victories as niners have playoff appearances this last decade!!
Tell me more about how much the niners are above average team and the actual superbowl winning teams are below average. You really are braindead or just an excellent troll. My money is on the former. Congrats on the chokejob in the superbowl.

Niners are favorites over Pats/Broncos/Seahawks "right now" by pinnacle Sports.

But they are a below average team according to you.

Everybody is a superbowl favorite "right now". It doesn't mean anything. Nice argument.
