    Texans backers check in...

I'm a former Patriots fan who cannot stand Bill Belichick.

This is a pure play, I want to see the Patriots lose and
hear the local talk shows whine for weeks.

Weather will be a non-factor. I think the Texans are
capable of winning this game if Foster is employed to his
full ability and Schaub stays out of trouble.

    Who's backing Houston ?

I am but was hoping to chime in after the game like most on this site. NOT. Texans have the ingredients to beat Brady. No way can they match score for score but if they do what they do best and keep Brady on the sidelines and pound the rock. We have a chance. Houston is a solid team and they got cold at just the right time to make everyone a nonbeliever. I hope they run these Patsy's over.

I am backing the Texans on the point spread. Don't see them getting blown out like last time. I would think they would of learned a few things from the last go around. Defense has definitely been tightened up and don't forget Johnathan Joseph was out last time. I see a heavy dose of Foster in this game and again, Bellicheck will know if you stop Foster, Shaub is NOT good unless he has the play action. I just think there are too many points here....But will wait till I get a line of around 10pts

I thought Jonathan Joseph did play against the Pats last time... I think it was his first game back from injury...

I am also waiting, waiting for the bookies.. they will be calling in on the Patriots to
offset their over-exposure on the Texans side, this should drive the line higher
    before game time.

Joseph played but was not 100%. He is now.

I like Houston and the points... Houston has Garrett Graham for this game as well as Brooks Reed (LB) and Brandon Brooks on the o-line which should help control Pats d-line.

Houston got embarrassed last time out... JJ Watt and crew will make this game close. Houston had too many silly penalties in the first game that killed them.

Should be a better game this time out...

I know this makes no sense but I am hoping Broncos win. While anything is possible, the chances of both big dogs cashing SU are like a snowball in hell.

Houston Moneyline baby!! lets get this boyss, JJ Watt is gonna smash brady early and often. New englands O-line has more holes in it, than swiss cheese. Screw the points, moneyline boys. Early exit for New England this year.

same script as today...take the undervalued home team and back the disrespected road team...atl and hou, although not sure hou wins i do think they will play a much better gm this time around and get some run gm going and play better d..something like pats 27-20..kinda like under but pats unders are scary..

your strategy is easier said than done. 9.5 is an intimidating line for the public to lay on NE spread. a lot of coin is going in on Houston. biggest problem with them is covering Hernandez and Gronkowski who will actively be wreaking havoc playing wheres Waldo all day long. pats cover. all of these dumb rematch stats are trying to refract the public from siding with NE and loading up on Houston. final score NE 31 Houston 17

Yep, I'm on Houston and a fan. They showed signs of coming out of their dysfunctional funk last week - they dominated the Bengals on everything but the scoreboard (and still covered ATS).

They beat themselves in the first game and the Pats were razor sharp that night - JJo is now 100%, Reed and Garrett Graham are back and I don't see Wade Phillips letting his defense take another 1st round KO....

I got them +9 and +370 and a ML parlay paying 19:1 with Baltimore +330, Houston +370 that is half way home.....

Houston should be +4. I expect Arian the Barbarian to have a great day and the defense to keep it close.

    LETS GO HOUSTON!

i hit both Balt and SF last night
which was nice, now i won't feel as bad about
    gettin' risky with Houston.
    still undecided on Seattle/Atlanta.

I thought about the over but dismissed it. why, because i don't know how Houston will approach the game. Time of possession will be a key to them winning this, but I don't know if Kubiak is smart enough to do what is necessary.
Then you got the possibility NE hops off to a big lead making Hou desperate. My main reason for thinking over was NE backfield vulnerabilities.
If you think it's gonna be around 27-20, that's just as easily 27-21
which is only 1 pt away from the spead so why get aggravated.

For all the back and forth arguments you can make about this matchup, there's one MASSIVE mismatch in this game, and that's

    Kubiak <<<< Belichek

If Houston wins this game it will be in spite of at least a couple of bad coaching mistakes. Like him or not, Belichek is a great coach and Kubiak is not.

Lol Manning got gassed and everybody caught up to his ass. Matt Schaub is gay for letting that only turn into 3 points. Still backing Houston though.

Their pass defense is awful (23rd). Run defense is excellent (6th), and their overall scoring defense is 9th.

Stats often misleading. GB's defense was ranked 11th in total defense, and they were terrible.
