They need to win for home field especially if San Fran loses

Keep in mind that SF hosts AZ in late game next week, so that's pretty much an auto win for SF.

If San Fran loses tonight, then GB will need a win to get a 1st round bye. If they lose then they won't get the bye. That's big. Huge. No way they would rest or take it easy.

However, if SF wins tonight, then GB will know that in all likelihood they are locked into the 3 slot. SF/AZ is the late game, so they won't know for sure when they whether it could matter, but they'll know it's a pretty safe bet that SF won't lose to AZ. I still doubt they'd sit Rodgers with the possibility on the line, but it could effect their play.

You think GB will just lay over?

As a Bears fan, it's not clear who I want to win tonight. If Seattle loses then it opens another avenue for getting if, if Seattle were to lose to STL next week. But that is highly unlikely. If Seattle wins tonight, then GB has a lot to play for (1st round bye) against Minny. Who to root for?

WoW. I guess I'd jump on Minny if still available if SF wins tonight.

Pinny has GB -3-113 and Bears also -3 at +101.

I am a Bears fan. I believe the Packers will try and win, but when it comes down to a "gamebreaking" moment that makes it tough for GB to win on the road the starters will be pulled. The Packers will essentially be in a situation where they can "choose" to play the Bears or Vikings first round in Lambeau (assuming 49ers win a big if). And while they won't say it, I believe they'd rather face the Vikings.

We'll know more after tonight. IF SF loses tonight then GB is flat out playing for a 1st round bye and they would certainly go 100% for that. If SF wins tonight, then you make a good point, BUT do they want to lose to Minny and then have that on their minds when they play the next week? I'm not sure they'd rather play Minny right now. They probably fear a hot Minny with AP more.

I hear ya but Cardinals won't win even if SF has nothing to play for.

Pack will definitely not be resting. They will have a first round bye squarely on the line.
