Alex Smith will be back as starter by the playoffs

Kapernik lacking the experience and he will probably continue to make the little mistakes that might not cost them games in the regular season however Harbaugh knows its the little things that determine the winner in the playoffs. Smith a great game manager has the experience and they were 1 game away from the superbowl last year.

Teams overreact, think that because they came up a game short means they HAVE to change something in order to advance further. I do think we will see Alex Smith play again this season, no clue as to how he will get back in though. It really would shatter Kaps confidence if you yanked him.

Unless your other QB options are Skelton & Vick....this is a bad idea. Vick wouldn't play and Skelton would probably get you negative pts, so a shot in the dark SMITH would sadly be your best option.

Should have started last week . Keep kapernick in your back pocket, a great ace in the hole. Now if you have to go to Smith off the bench who knows???? Should have waited till next year to name Kap the starter.
