I didn't start capping and researching a lot on my own until week 11 when I got sick of following touts and losing.
Week 11-13 Record 18-6-3 +42 Units
Week 13: 5-3-2 +4 units
Week 13 Card(lost my biggest play of the season and still made a profit!!):
Philly +10 W (lost by 5) +4 units
St. Louis +7 W (Rams win outright!) +3 units
Buffalo -6.5 W (easy cover) +3 units
Green Bay -7.5 W (won by 9) +2 units
Indy +4.5 W (Colts win outright!) +2 units
NY Giants -2.5 L (Giants lose outright) -5 units
NY Jets -4.5 L (Jets win by 1) -3 units
San Diego +1.5 L (Bengals win by 7) -2 units
New England -7 PUSH
Oakland +3 PUSH
WEEK 14 PICKS:
4 Unit Play:
Tennessee +5 vs. Indy- (these two played a close game a few weeks ago, Indy is bad besides Luck and needed a rally last week to cover. )
3 Unit Play:
NY Jets -3EV vs. Jacksonville- (I can't believe I'm taking the Jets again, but Jacksonville is really bad and I think the Jets rebound big here)
St. Louis vs. Buffalo -3 (Buffalo is coming into their own, and usually far well against NFC West teams besides San Fran. St. Louis will have a bit of a letdown after a big win vs San Fran)
Houston vs. New England -3 -120 (This line came out at -4.5 but has gone down to 3 with all the Houston backers. Monday Night in New England Brady will be at his finest, I think the Patriots make a statement about who controls the AFC in this game. Plus New England can secure a first round bye if they finish strong.)
New Orleans +5 vs. NY Giants - (I almost always back the Giants, but how can you not expect Drew Brees to comeback strong after a 5 interception performance. I think this game will be decided by a field goal, and either way we cover.)
2 Unit Play:
Baltimore +3 -125 vs. Washinton ( 3 was the number I wanted here after it opened at 2.5. RG3 looked good against the Giants but even a beat up Ravens team should be able to win this outright, maybe with a couple Ed Reed interceptions)
Arizona +10.5 vs Seattle (This is a bet made on principle. I was going to wait and see if it went to 11, but I'm content with anything over 10. Smart bettors never lay more than 8 on a favorite in the NFL, and even though Seattle is a tough place to play and Russell Wilson has looked good, 10.5 is a lot for a rookie QB to cover.)
