    Why do americans need so many ad breaks during nfl games?

    Genuine question?

    Is it because the Tv Networks are so greedy for ad money?

    Is it because Americans are so fat that they need to eat constantly?

    These nfl player's have it so easy! Timeouts, ad breaks, 2 minute warnings, flags, stoppages, they hardly touch the ball.

    football players(soccer to the yanks, dunno why they stole that name???) play for 45 minutes each half non stop,

    Rugby players play for 40 mins each half non stop

    Why cant the nfl play non stop for 15 mins each quarter? then have a break?

    No one on the planet except yanks would allow this!!

    Kind of obvious! Stations need the ad revenue to pay for their expensive NFL TV rights contract, which trickles down to the teams and players.

    Fatass Americans also need the breaks to grab more unhealthy snacks and make frequent trips to the restroom.

    I only watch on DVR or during the noon Sunday games when I can flip between several games.

    Last night I tried watching SNF live because it looked like a can't-miss matchup, but I turned it off after one possession.
