Everyone I have is increasing vig on teasers. Bkmr for one. If they're unbeatable then why???

People will bet them anyway. Truth is that 95% of the players at Bookmaker couldnt give a damn. Those same guys would bet everything at -120 if that is all that was offered.
Probably way less than 1% of bookmakers customers have ever even heard of gambling forums. They get customers based on their name alone just like sportsbook.com gets tens of thousands of customers

Yeah, amazing how much -120 I've seen this year, used to be -105 was easy to find. I pass if I see anything at -120.

You cleaned up if you bet teasers this weekend. Problem with teasers for the books is that when it rains it pours. It seems like if you tease any total this season you win that leg. If numbers did get sharper and were even better predictors of the final score, book could lose if they don't adjust the payouts. And with less competition out there, books dont have to pay those good ol days odds unfortunately. Eventually, teasers will be sucker bets for real. =(

hate paying heavy vig buying pts but its saved my butt several times, sometimes gotta get to key numbers 3 and 7, and getting to 3.5 and 7.5 has been dif between winnning and push. been doing extremly well betting teasers

I rarely use them, but it is never bad looking for teaser spots. I like having action on primetime NFL, and took SF-Chi this week for my first teaser of the year. Two of the best defenses in the league getting 6 more points. It also was very close to meeting Wong teaser criteria, we skipped a few crucial numbers on both teases, never a bad thing.

Some good input thanks.
Rule one is the quality of the KEY points you acquire and where you land numbers wise. Not buying dead numbers i.e. 7.5-9.5. Of course throwing in some decent handicapping helps.
I have a full set of rules developed over 40 years of successful teaser betting. No I'm not sharing them all here.
One point I think worth making is this ... 6 point teasers have way more value relative to the line than the total. Pure simple fact. I'm the first guy to promote and play 13 pt totals but no way am I buying 6 points on totals especially the higher they get. I had friend try to convince me that buying a 84 pt total down to 78 was OK. The total ended up like 120 ish.

ppl around here always bang on them especially some of the resident wanna be sharps but i have a thread full of teaser winners,,long as you keep them to 2 teams and dont do the wrong things they are great in nfl, for me anyway....

My first teaser of the year worked perfectly, 49'ers and Bears, both needed the 6 pts to cover. I look for spots were the 6 pts are more meaningful, such as sides with low projected totals, and obviously the Wong teaser criteria.
But I seldom if ever bet them, as generally they are a much more -EV investment than straight bets.

Your comment seems somewhat "old school" teaser concentrict. Take all the totals this week and add and subtract 13 from all. For instance SF/Sea was about as good as it gets under and in my mind reduced my total exposure from 4 teams to 3. i tend to lean toward dogs in what i think will be defensive battles in my teasersand while i understand the total thing many times i like the total with the dog on 6 and 7 point teasers as the way the nfl gay ass rules are that extra cushion has saved me quite a bit,,back in the day i would never have teased the total but now days even when i feel i have a 3-4 point discrepancy on a under it nice to push that bitch to what i feel is more than 7-10 as that kinda takes away the random bs pass interference/roughing call drive that fukk up a good thing so many times.... absolutely love playin nfl 13 point teasers on underdogs on 5dimes' shaded chalk lines. I agree with madison, i dont think teasing totals is effective, especially in hoops or college fb.
